Best Italian food in the area and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. They go out of their way to make sure your food is prepared as you like it. Lasagna, chicken parm & chicken francese are great but the steak and seafood are excellent also. They also own Romanacci, two doors down in the same plaza. Great pizza and smaller plates. Right next to that is Oggi Gelato!

We didn't set out looking for Osteria Romana but had just returned from a full day of travel that ended at JFK airport. We were hungry, and Norwalk was about halfway home. We logged into OpenTable and searched for an Italian restaurant in Norwalk and chose Osteria Romana. It was easy to get to off of I-95 and had ample parking. The tuna special was overdone; pastas just so-so. Burrata app was delicious. When the check arrived, instead of our 2 cappuccinos we were charged for 5 of them plus a dessert which we also did not order. I know most people simply split the bill without looking. When corrected, the waitress says thank you for noticing. This left a bad impression and feels dishonest.
