I have been a long time customer of Pagano's. It used to take me 10 minutes to get to Pagano's, but since they moved to SoNo, it takes about 20 minutes, but it is always worth the trip.
They offer an impressive assortment of high-quality seafood that is fresh and reasonably priced. The staff is always friendly, efficient, and willing to go the extra step to ensure you are satisfied. I think all of their staff over the years is excellent, but I want to call out Jonathan, who helped me today.
If you want the best seafood in Fairfield County, make sure to visit Pagano's. It is also worth noting that Pagano's is the leading supplier to many of the top restaurants in the area!

Pagano Seafood in Norwalk is an absolute gem! The seafood is incredibly fresh, and everything tasted like it came straight off the boat that morning. Jonathan was outstanding – super helpful, patient, and made great recommendations. The other staff member we spoke with was very knowledgeable as well and clearly knew their seafood inside and out.
This is definitely my go-to spot for fresh fish and great service. Highly recommend!

My kids LOVE going to Pagano Seafood — it’s like an adventure every time! They get excited checking out all the fresh fish (and sometimes naming them 🤣). The staff are super friendly and make the whole experience fun. Plus, we always leave with something delicious for dinner. Definitely a family favorite spot!

Wow! I am so happy to have found this place! The selection is fantastic. The staff was friendly knowledgeable and accommodating in person and on the phone. The scallops I bought were top drawer. They also have an octopus, calamari and tuna salad-all of which are so tasty and great for a quick meal or salad topper. The shop is set back from the street, FYI. I wholeheartedly recommend seeking this spot out!

I’ve lived in the Fairfield area for over 50 years and have visited countless seafood stores. Hands down, none compares to Pagano’s.
For years, I saw their delivery trucks around town and assumed they only served commercial clients. I was wrong. They have an incredible retail outlet right on the water in South Norwalk (SONO).
What sets Pagano’s apart? First and foremost, the seafood is always fresh. I’ve never had an issue with quality—which is more than I can say for other places. Pagano’s is the source; they supply restaurants from Rhode Island to New York. Why not go straight to the source for the best?
Second, the staff is not only friendly but also truly knowledgeable. This isn’t just a summer job for them. At larger vendors, asking a question often leads to blank stares from employees who clearly don’t know much about the fish they’re selling. At Pagano’s, the team knows their product inside and out.
I frequently ask their opinions when I’m unsure about a dish—whether Lemon Sole or Dover Sole is better suited, or how they’d recommend preparing shrimp. I always get thoughtful, honest answers. They never try to upsell me; instead, they offer advice based on experience. That’s rare. You can tell they genuinely care about what they do.
They’ll even share personal cooking tips: “I like to prepare it this way…” It’s inspired many of my own meals. If I’m picking up something I don’t usually cook—like Skate—I’ll ask, “How would you prepare this?” or “What would you serve with it?” I always get a smart, helpful response.
Pagano’s also offers prepared dishes like crab cakes and a variety of seafood salads, plus lobster and clam bakes. Their selection of condiments and gourmet accompaniments is top-notch.
I used to shop around between various seafood vendors. For the last two years, I’ve only gone to Pagano’s. The seafood is consistently fresh, and the staff always greets you with a smile.

My friend just told me about this hidden gem! The entrance is further back the drive and there is a door to walk in that says “retail” they have dry goods, fresh fish & seafood plus pre made seafood dishes! They were so nice and helpful! I left with fresh scallops, a bunch of asparagus and they threw in a lemon for free!
