They refuse to make spicy tenders. My son and I have a running joke at this point. He’ll ask to go to Popeyes and I’ll say why would we bother since they refuse to make spicy tenders. The drinks taste strange like the ice machine is probably moldy. They do not give you sauce or ketchup ever even when you ask. The staff is lazy and rude. It has been over 6 months of checking if they have spicy tenders and it’s a no EVERY SINGLE TIME no matter the day or time. I know the manager or owner is going to respond with a canned response saying that they will do better, but it’s all lip service at this point. They are not even trying. Chic fil a is down the street and theor customer service is top tier and accurate. I predict this location will close down soon. Save your money r spend it somewhere else where people care about their business and service provided

Service was awful, the food was almost as bad as the service was, only two employees on staff and was concerned that there might be rat meat inside of the food. Genuinely the most horrid fast food experience I’ve ever had. Tables were also dirty and nonfunctional. And it appears that almost half the menu was not available.

I have visited the store about 10 times over the past 3 months I have tried to order popcorn shrimp every time and they always say they are out and ordered chicken tenders they don’t taste like they did when they first opened and the same when ordering chicken sandwiches they never put anything on them. Last to times I had to go get food from Wendy’s my kids would not eat the food. When I ask where would you like fast food from they say anywhere but Popeyes.

This isn’t the first bad experience, either. Every time we go through the drive-thru, they give us the wrong order , even after repeating it back correctly. When we get home, it’s always wrong, and they act like nothing happened. That’s why we decided to come inside this time, but all we got were eye rolls and attitude just for ordering food they didn’t have ready. Completely unacceptable, especially this early in the evening! And the bathroom is meant for employees and a separate one for customers which was locked!!! And when we got home they STILLL GOT IT WRONG, in our bag they’re was no fries CRAZYYY and no spicy chicken and when we tried calling or course they didn’t didn’t pick so when we went back they denied everything and did not want to help, it’s our fault for not double checking but this is Absurd they need to fix’s everything about this location. To make things worse, the lobby was sticky and dirty, with leftover food that looked like employees had just eaten there, with empty Tupperware, I don’t care if they eat, but they should at least clean up afterward. This location seriously needs new staff, all of them. I will never come back here again!

Rarely make reviews but when food is missing from my order almost every single time I order from here, I think a non-5 star review is justified. Food's still good though.

The service at Popeyes was horrible. The worker first told us we couldn’t use our coupons, but then said we actually could, which really confused me. Then she went on to say that the sandwich station was closed, which honestly felt like she just didn’t want to make it. The whole experience was frustrating and unprofessional, and it really made me not want to come back to that location again.

Yesterday I went to get some BBQ wings. It was the worst experience I've ever had. The manager is a complete disaster. She was getting into a huge fight with another girl who also works there. They were yelling and made the atmosphere really ugly. She wouldn't let us eat in the dining room; she was arrogant and not at all pleasant. I'm so disappointed. The wings weren't fully cooked. The only thing I can say is, don't go if you don't want to have a bad time. I've been there many times, and that's why I'm brave enough to leave a review because I'm tired of the treatment and attention from the people who work there. They're very unpleasant. I don't understand how Popeyes can have people who aren't nice to their customers. They should be more selective about their employees.

October 3, 2025 after 6pm! rarely leave reviews, but tonight’s experience was unacceptable. I placed an online order and realized immediately afterward that I forgot to switch the drink from Coke to Sprite. Since I was literally across the street, I drove over right away to ask if the change could be made.

The staff member at the window didn’t acknowledge me until she handed over the food. I politely asked if she could swap the Coke for a Sprite, and she flatly refused, saying it would be “wasteful.” I explained that if I were dining in, I’d have access to unlimited soft drinks—so why not just pour out the Coke and replace it? Still, she refused without further explanation.

To make matters worse, the food wasn’t fresh. The fries were cold, and I wasn’t offered any condiments. No courtesy, no effort. The overall cleanliness of the location is also concerning—the drive-thru windows were filthy.

I told myself if the food and service were bad again, I would write a review and here we are!! I’ve moved recently to the Connecticut Ave area and ever since coming here every order from this Popeyes have been TERRIBLE. I even ask them to try and make the food well done and even then it’s no help. You would think that having the food uncooked, the service would be better right? WRONG! It amazes me because most of the time I arrive there are literally no other customers, so I don’t know why it’s an attitude every time. There is only one person there that tries to make sure everything is exceptional and I’m sorry that I don’t know there name to be singled out but that’s it! I don’t write reviews often only when the experience was too much that I have to. Please make changes

If you want missing items, wrong orders, this is the place. Extremely poor ability to get orders correct.
This is my second and last time at this popeyes.
Chicken peices are extremely small compared to other popeyes and they are breaded beyond recognition. Very poor quality and practice. You're literally getting only fried flour.

What's the point of having a phone if you're not going to answer it? I placed an order on DoorDash & they do not allow us to edit our meals to add on or take off the condiments on sandwiches etc. so I called the store several times to let them know I placed an order & would not like a certain condiment on my sandwhich. No answer. I called roughly 7 or 8 times before my driver arrived so that they can make sure things were the way I wanted ..... ridiculous . Just get rid of the phone at this point

The food at this W. Main St. Stamford, CT is horrible! The spicy chicken was soggy and not cooked throughly. The red beans & rice smelled sour. The only thing I enjoyed was the apple pie! 😡 $33.00 wasted!
