Shah's Halal Food Norwalk

The food here is genuinely great and has the potential to earn 4–5 stars. However, the service leaves much to be desired. I found the staff to be unapproachable and at times dismissive when I asked about my order. It’s disappointing when such good food is overshadowed by an unpleasant customer experience. With improved service, this place could really shine.

This was an A-mazing Halal joint I stumbled upon while getting gas today and will be coming back! The lamb and chicken was robust with a subtle lasting burn experience on your tongue! I am seriously enjoying this gyro...sober!

I have been going here for several weeks, and while the food can be good, the prices are not. It costs 12 dollars not including tax for a 'platter'. The size really is nothing to brag about, and the service is not always the kindest. I usually ask for a bit more to make it worth the price since it is practically 13 dollars, and it is rude when you can the person helping you deliberately gives you the bare minimum to meet your wishes, and can be stingy. The bell is extremely loud, and ruins the atmosphere completely. I encourage better, kinder service and more reasonable prices, as well as a less noisy door bell.

amazing food, environment and staff. the owner tati will make you feel welcomed as soon as you walk in. abdul and mike are amazing and the cooks maestro carlos, anna and nikket, i cant express enough to show how i truly feel about this establishment. i recommend a chicken over rice tradition with white sauce. you guys are the best !

Small portions and quality not so great. It's disappointing what's happening to Shah's reputation by all these stores opening up and not living up to the name .

I get food from this place about once a week because I genuinely enjoy the food, but lately the service has been disappointing. For the last three times I’ve ordered, I specifically asked for hot sauce on the side — and every time, it’s been missing from the bag when I get home.

Today I finally called the store to explain the issue, just to give them a heads-up and hopefully get a little more attention to detail moving forward. The woman who answered the phone responded with, “It’s a free hot sauce, what do you want me to tell you?” Honestly, that’s not the kind of response you expect when bringing up a repeated issue. How about a simple apology or something like, “We’re sorry about that, we’ll make sure you get your hot sauce next time”? It’s called customer service.

I’m not asking for anything special — just to get what I ordered, and to be treated with a little respect when I bring up a concern. Good food only goes so far when the service doesn’t match.

This place is good to eat at the food is amazing and lived up to the name halal food. The store manager Micheal is amazing he always makes the food fast. And it is always good never have I ever gotten cold food here. Phenomenal food.

Amazing service, customer service with micheal was great. I love the Philly cheese steak here and the fact I can see the gyros being made right before me. I definitely recommend this place, would come visit again!
