THINK TWICE before spending here.

Not exactly sure why, especially being a minority-owned business itself, but this establishment made me feel so bad, embarrassed, and with an overall bad taste in mouth. I ordered PLATTERS of food with them ($200+), and this day was no different. Previous times including the last order, I use my card over the phone. This time, however, I came to use my card and the said I needed ID. This was never the case before then she tried to make up a false story, which at that point I was over, and I just took the food and left. It also wasn’t as good as previous times and missing some items.

We should treat everyone equally and also maintain standards across the board, especially food quality. I would stay far away if I were you.

Best Chinese food in Norwalk and I've tried them all. The chicken with broccoli is especially good and this has become my go to in the area

This take out spot has great food! Just beware that they won't let one person pay over the phone and another to pick it up due to people stealing others food apparently.

Better than average Chinese food place. Prices are a little high. But overall the quality of food was decent. I would rate the food 3.5

It's very hard to find decent Chinese food in this area. Best so far was all the way in Bridgeport or Stamford. The food here is oily/greasy it lacks flavor and is heavy. It isn't satisfying and pretty pricey for what it is. Will not order here again.

We love Shanghai Gourmet! Recently, we did two very large orders. One for a Christmas get-together and the following weekend for a New Year's Eve get-together. Both orders were ready for pickup on time and well packed with nothing missing. During the year, it is THE place for us when we want to order out and has been for many years. It’s all good, but they do an especially fantastic Singapore Mei Fun (my favorite).
