Subway claims to stand by the motto “Eat Fresh,” but tonight’s experience was anything but fresh — it was frustrating, rude, and downright unacceptable.

My mother ordered a footlong veggie sandwich and very clearly asked for extra pickles and jalapeños. What did she get? Three pickles and three jalapeños. On a veggie sandwich. When we politely asked again for more, as she had already requested, we were met with attitude and a sharp, dismissive response: “I already did.”

What followed was a completely unnecessary and ridiculous three-way argument with the staff — all over a few extra vegetables. It was embarrassing, disrespectful, and showed zero care for the customer.

Frustrated, we left and went across the street to the Subway at 588 Main Ave in Norwalk, CT, where we were immediately treated with respect and professionalism. The employees there had no issue whatsoever adding extra vegetables — and they did it without the attitude or drama.

We’re sharing this feedback in the hopes that Subway will take action to ensure a more consistent and respectful customer experience across all locations — especially at the Walmart Subway at 650 Main Ave, Norwalk, CT 06851, where the service we received was completely unacceptable.

The workers here are rude and rush you as if there is something else they needed to do after they rushed my family an I though the line they just ran to the back to gasp and sit down.

Pretty typical Subway, as part of a chain they thrive on consistency. This location only had one very harried employee on duty during the Sunday afternoon football season and there is no public rest room - free hand sanitizer is available. Thus my two star rating.

I am staying at the hotel down the street and there really isn’t much in terms of walking distance. I saw the Subway and went on in for a sandwich to go. What can I say, except they are consistent here as they are across the nation – the ingredients were fresh and it was quickly made for a reasonable price. The lady making the sandwich was very friendly, also. Overall, a consistent experience from the tried-and-true Subway.

Centrally located with parking. Friendly smiles good service and fresh sub rolls. Very clean inside and has seating . The vegetables look fresh and were very cold.

I must be in the minority but I cannot stand the smell of Subway. Nor can I stand the poor quality of the sandwich meat they use and the overuse of mayonnaise in the tuna salad. This particular location tries hard to be clean and friendly but it still smells like Subway and that is a turnoff for me

The food quality is uniformed. It is also healthier than the burgers and fries. You can always see it besides the road in the states.

Try the other subway on main. This one is the stingiest around. Want to beg for your fair amount of veggies? Then you'll love this subway.

Clean restaurant located in local Walmart. Good item selection, and quick service. Servers were polite and very accommodating to any special requests. Definitely would visit again!
