The Spread in Norwalk is FABULOUS!! For dinner or a date, for a brunch or drinks with friends, or for a gorgeous group meetup or event—The Spread is the place to be!! The food is delicious, comforting, and elegant. The cocktails and espresso martini menu can’t be beat. The interior is classy, and the year round heated patio is unreal!! I recommend them very highly and look forward to hosting more events and enjoying more fabulous meals regularly!!

I'll start with the food. It was very good. We had the Artisan Salad and Brussel Sprouts to start. Salad was lightly dressed with a lemon vinaigrette. Brussels appeared to be flash fried and were crisp and tasty. For dinner the group had beef tips, scallops and tagliatelle pasta with beef bolognese. All was quite good. The outdoor space is lovely, but the blaring music was, frankly, ridiculous. We had a 7:45 reservation. Except for our 22 year old son, there was not one person under 35 in the outdoor area and the couples there to enjoy an intimate dinner were all struggling to have conversation. You may think you are a “club”, but for a $250+ dinner, turn the darn music down. I doubt we will be back since the music level was so unpleasant. Lastly the service was convoluted. we had no fewer than 3 people taking orders, bringing food, taking plates and no one seemed to know that the other people were working on our table. It was like a British farce for about 40 minutes until I told one of them and they streamlined. We were very glad we weren't seated inside where it was head splitting.

Couldn’t get an outside table even though when we made the reservation we were not told that- weNEVERa got our food. Other peopele who came in after us got served - it was like we were invisible.
When I asked the waitress where our food was (after 45 minutes she snapped back at me and said it was busy and asking the kitchen wouldn’t make it come sooner. So I asked can you find out where our order was in the lineup and she said no
We waited some more then I said something to the manager bothe about the delayed meal and the servers nasty tone and he said he’d check. We waited 20 minutes longer and walked out.
We’ve been there before but…

Worst dining experience I've had in years and possibly....ever. It took 45 minutes to get our drinks (and that's after asking), order multiple appetizers and had to ask repeatedly where the rest of the order was; had to ask to order more drinks, waited another 45 minutes for entrees to come out. It was honestly AWFUL. At one point, I went to the bathroom and had a patron come up to me and mistakenly thought I worked there and said “we've been waiting for over an hour for our food...” I said “Same here, pal.” Another patron at the bar was confused and said “I heard the kitchen is a disaster....so far we have only received 1 out of 4 drinks. What a mess. Our waitress was miserable. Clearly hated working there and was nasty and unhelpful at every step of the evening. Within minutes I'd say this establishment lost dozens of customers. I will never return. A waste of my night, waste of a babysitter and babysitting money, waste of calories and money spent on a garbage evening.

AVOID 🚩🚩🚩🤮 Terrible experience. Took my daughter and her three friends and we arrived on time. But after we were seated it was as if we were invisible. We finally flagged down a waiter to take our order and over an hour later we still had no food. I alerted the mgr twice and after 90 mins passed we left. Never again. Ever.

One of the best restaurants in Fairfield county in my opinion … very interesting menu … been coming here for years … steak tips could have been a bit better … but besides that enjoyed the menu and service
It was a Quaint place but a little hard to find at first . Service was good but server at first did not know too much English and hard to understand . Got switched out quickly. Overpriced for the quality and choices are limited . Brunch had 4 good choices . Chairs are not too comfortable. Coffee was expensive !

The food and service were great! We sat outdoors at a not busy time and were able to select our table (away from kids as we were having a girls' night out!) so the noise level and ambiance were perfect.

Some friends of ours moved out to Norwalk many years ago and we always make it a point to go and visit at least twice a year. This time they took us to a wonderful place that their neighbor owns called The Spread and what a wonderful brunch we had!! It was a beautiful day and from start to finish it was a wonderful dining experience. The food had a wonderful Mediterranean flare and dishes on it that were very well prepared and put together. The drinks and the Bloody Marys were perfection and the service was outstanding thank you again for such a lovely brunch!!!

Dear owner, please start paying your servers a decent wage so that you actually provide a good service and so that people actually work there for an extended period of time. Every time I go I never see two servers twice! Also, lower prices of regular coffee, $6 is exorbitant.
Everything else I like, the food is yummy and ambience of the place is nice both inside and outside.

We had an event in the outdoor space at The Spread. Chris was incredible to work with to help plan our day. He was immediately available and worked with us to really understand our vision, taste and align that to a budget that worked. He was incredibly accommodating and wanted to ensure we had the best time. The food was outstanding (my guests are still raving about the lentils!), the outside area felt intimate and had charm. We couldn't be more pleased with the service and outcome of our day. Highly recommend The Spread.
