We had a party of 6. One of our friends has hearing issues so we had to move from inside (live music) to out by the fire. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating from the minute we walked in to saying farewell.
A perfect spot for a Saturday brunch for 4 seniors who wanted a quiet spot to reconnect with one another. Service was excellent as well as the food. We ask for a quiet table and were placed in a back corner which was perfect for us. After our meal we continued to visit and the staff simply "let us be."
The Spread is not only the best restaurant in the town of Norwalk, but of all restaurants I've been to. This is the kind of place where I would drive miles to. When it comes to dining experience, based on atmosphere, service, food, and decor, I give it a 5/5 on all accounts. It is such an memorable experience dining here and I highly recommend to all.
I wanted to give the Spread 4 stars - but the kitchen messed up so bad I need to write a review. Service from wait staff was excellent. Food was very good. We had pate, Brussel sprouts, steak tips, mussels, fries, burger. We were a party in 8 - we waited 29 mins for our main course - but the mussels tools 46 min. The manager did comp the mussels but to be frank he should have done more. By the time the mussels came the rest of the food was cold. Tasty but cold. I would go back and give them another chance but the manager should have done more
Food was decent, most times I've been there, I don't think we had too bad of a service but last time we went it felt as if we were almost non-existent as they put us outside claiming it was warm by the fire (it was still kind of chilly with the open door and openings in the roof) and they barely came to our table and skipped coming around to us at times when we needed to order. We gave up in ordering our last round of drinks since no one came to our table. Eventually higher management came over to ask how things were and we just took the check and left. Didn't feel very welcoming which was unfortunate since we were excited to try brunch there for the first time and it didn't go as well as we were hoping.
We sat outside on a beautiful fall evening. The service was exceptional. They have many waitstaff & no one was rushing us. They have a varied menu that satisfied everyone's tastes. The food was delicious & the portions were perfect. Dinner did not break the bank. Highly recommend
The food was way over priced for what you got. The bacon was very over cooked to the point of crumbling in my BLT, white at $16 I expected better. The standout was the Nutella crème brûlée. Otherwise can't imagine we will go back. Seems to have gone downhill. Sad
The Brick Chicken and Beet Salad were excellent, and Fernando's margaritas were the best. The outdoor ambiance, lively vibe, and service were terrific. The real bonus was the guitar player playing easy-listening music from the 80s and 90s. There are so many great restaurants in Norwalk, but The Spread has the best balance of great food and drinks, a great vibe, and good value.
Beautiful place, the atmosphere is very relaxing with beautiful decor. Off street paid parking and the menu has something for everyone. I will be returning for dinner.

I usually don’t leave bad reviews, but Our waiter was annoyed that I was asking Questions about the dishes . I’ve never been there before, but obviously he was annoyed and I guess I was asking too many questions. Then my kale salad came with these tiny diced up pieces of dried out chicken breast. All it had was Barry wet goat cheese and Too much of it and nothing else. It was very Disappointing.

Post-wedding-rehersal dinner. Everything was delicious. Entrees prepared perfectly. Great staff kept entire party very happy!
Parking: Best bet is inexpensive public lot about a block away, accessed via parallel one-way avenue.
Wheelchair accessibility: All facilities on ground floor. Party's seating was outdoors in patio area. 1 elderly attendee in wheelchair rolled right in from street drop-off up to patio table, no problem.

The food was very good, but the place appeared to be understaffed. But, we were sitting outside, and the music level was exceedingly loud such that even while shouting, you could not hear the person next to you. We asked the waiters several times to turn down the volume which they did for maybe 5 to 10 minutes and then someone cranked it back up again, literally everyone was complaining and they kept putting it up. If this were a nightclub, but people were trying to talk and it was unbelievably loud. I will not go back.
Waited well over an hour for our entrees and they came out a long time apart for our party of 8. Two private parties going on. They should not accept reservations if they are not able to accommodate. Hosting people from out of town and looking to showcase Norwalk and was very disappointed and embarrassed. The least they could have done was comp something. Servers did a good job and were very apologetic but won’t be going back anytime soon.

Went here a couple of days ago, Horrible place. Would never go back here, the food was awful, the burger was dry and covered with the many flies from outside the establishment, the kale salad was actually disgusting.
Plus there is no ac inside, and it’s pitch black. The waitresses were rude and didn’t speak any English at all and all the staff just looked so unhappy
The atmosphere was just awful, there was no joy to this place, if I could give it zero stars I would
