Valencia Cocina is a breath of fresh air for the Norwalk dining scene. It is about time Oyster Town embraced the depth of flavor that only a wood-burning grill can provide. The new menu is an absolute standout. The short rib arepas were perfectly tender, the empanadas boasted a flawless crust, and the street corn offered a beautiful balance of smoke and spice... I must also emphasize the exceptional quality of the guacamole; it was, quite simply, an absolute masterclass in flavor...
Valencia Cocina is such a great glow-up from Valencia Luncheria. The space feels brighter and more modern, but still warm and welcoming. You can tell a lot of care went into the refresh.
The menu is the biggest win. There are more delicious options now, and everything feels elevated while still keeping those amazing Venezuelan flavors. It honestly feels like the same heart, just better. Definitely worth checking out again.

Although we'll miss the casual informality of Valencia Luncheria, Valencia Cocina is a wonderful place for a delicious dinner. We tried it out during their first week after they changed to a more upscale type of dining experience. Our tastebuds were not disappointed!
