First time coming today and the food was delicious. I got takeout due to a busy schedule today but my husband and I loved our food! It's a nice little spot and we are definitely going to dine in next time!

Popped in before a show at the Theatre across the street, we sat on the patio on a beautiful early evening. We both had the chile con carne...delicious, served with tortilla chips and cheese baked over top. Then we shared the ham, guyerie cheese, and sliced apple sandwhich, with steak fries that came out piping hot and you can tell are made here and not frozen...the flavors meshed so well together. Everything was very good...we will be back!

Five stars? Really? They deserve more!John (the owner) will greet you with a hearty "Good morning" ("it's morning somewhere"), a smile and a well-crafted cocktail. The menu is varied enough to feed all, and with wood-fired pizza, there is always something to amuse. The food, service and atmosphere are all at least five stars. A great local find.

Great location right across from The Wall Street theater. The owner and pizza chef both named John are personable and professional. Pizza is amazing. Try the Fiona and Wood Fire Oysters, you won't be disappointed. Definitely coming back!

Was in town for Kenny Wayne Shepherd. Tavern is right across the street from the theater. Nice atmosphere with music memorabilia on the walls…including the bathroom…lol. Started with a couple good specialty drinks. “Purple Rain” and Margarita. Ordered the pizza and French onion soup. Really good pizza oven pizza. Crust stayed crunchy thru the last bit.

We love going to Tavern, it’s a great option for a weeknight date night. Pizzas are great and they love to customize them for you. Well rounded menu, great cocktails, and all of the staff are delightful!
John is a great guy and the food is delicious. We eat there before concerts at WST, but also on random evenings. Fun spot.
