Best drive thru coffee in down hands down, foods amazing also. Customer service is on point, only complaint is this place is so good the drive thru is crazy busy in the place. If buying for a family it can get expensive but to me it’s worth it. I get breakfast here most days and spend around $14 on myself for a sandwich and a fancy drink. They have a robotic answering service on the drive thru that’s not used so I would recommend removing it.
I ALMOST FORGOT, always check the specials they are alllways fantastic. This fall we have Dutch apple chi and it’s da bomb.

They have the best iced chia around!
Food, drinks and service is always fantastic! They definetly work hard and it shows for sure. My only suggestion would be a little less cream cheese on the bagels, every bagel i have gotten has just had too much for me personally, I will for sure be asking for light cream cheese in the future. That being said, if that is the worst I can come up with, then they are doing pretty darn well in my opinion.

I work at the Pomfret Baker’s Dozen, so I’ve had my fair share of coffee — but my visit to the Chaplin location absolutely blew me away! The coffee was perfect (hands down the best I’ve ever had), and the manager at the window made it with such care. Friendly service, smooth coffee, and the kind of attention to detail that makes you want to come back every day. Great job, Chaplin team! ☕👏
I found this place commuting to work.. they have really good flavored coffees, sandwiches and my kids really love the raspberry filled jelly donuts. I gave 3 stars because the employees are not friendly at all.

The Gales Ferry team is absolutely amazing! Everyone is so friendly, and the coffee is consistently delicious. I love letting the staff surprise me with how they make my coffee — and it never disappoints. Thank you all for always starting my day off right (and yes, sometimes I even come back for a second cup because it’s just that good!).
Best coffee in Norwich! Hands down

Gales Ferry Bakers goes out of their way to make every experience the best. Stop there in the morning brings a smile to my face. Coffee is always amazing and the baked goodies are the best around
Stumbled upon this breakfast shop in a gas station. Our sandwiches were delicious and donuts were nicely round and heavy! Would come back for more any day!

I used the very popular drive through so I can't comment on the inside of the store. The sandwich I got was good, it was just your basic bacon, egg and cheese. The people are extremely nice.

I love this store clean friendly. The girls usually know my order. Today I walked in and bam the girl was like your reg today yes please I said. Don't know her name but gotta give credit where it's due and like always made right. Just wish they'd wear name tags so you know who is who there. But a great store good service too

As someone with a severe gluten allergy, I always take extra precautions when ordering food. I visited Baker’s Dozen and ordered a breakfast sandwich on a gluten-free bagel with a hash brown. After paying, I inquired whether they toast gluten-free items separately to avoid cross-contamination. I was told that everything is prepared in the same space, with no specific safeguards for allergens.
When I explained the severity of my allergy, the manager brushed off my concerns, stating that “no one else is sensitive to cross-contamination,” implying my experience was an exception rather than a health risk worth accommodating. This response was not only dismissive but dangerously uninformed.
Instead of using a safe method to warm the food, they microwaved the bagel—so long that it became inedible. The food quality was poor, and the staff’s attitude ranged from indifferent to outright rude.
Allergies aren’t preferences—they’re medical conditions. Businesses in the food industry have a responsibility to handle them with care, or at the very least, with respect. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at Baker’s Dozen.
