Wonderful find! We were attending the Sting concert at Mohegan Sun and were honestly struggled to find a restaurant at the casino. We made reservations and were seated right away. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and we followed their recommendations on a few items. The calamari was the best we ever had and we live in Rhode Island :). They even brought complimentary champagne as it was our anniversary. Highly recommend!
THE. BEST. OCTOPUS. EVER. If your tastebuds are a fan of flavor and authenticity.... GET TO CANGGIO. This was the best meal my husband and I have had in years. The entire hour and a half we were seated was filled with conversation about nothing but the flavors of the course in front of us. Get here; ask questions; explore the menu. Simply wonderful. The hospitality... the food... experience it as soon as you can. You'll be sad you didn't discover it earlier.
Truly delightful dining experience. Super husband/wife team serving Peruvian dishes with Italian flair. Great attention to detail. Friendly, intimate and perfect frothy pisco sours.
Excellent local place with huge portions. Glad they’re trying something different. Recommend highly.

My partner and I were visiting Norwich from out of town and had such a wonderful experience at Canggio for our joint 40th birthday dinner. Neither of us are well-versed in Peruvian food but our server Elena provided great recommendations and explanations of what to expect. Cocktails, ceviche, chupe soup and catacao pasta dish - all extremely tasty! We loved hearing Chef Julio's story of starting the restaurant, too. Food, hospitality and ambiance top-notch. Recommend!!

We loved this place. Warm, friendly, and very welcoming, Canggio serves up yummy comfort food. We came for the roast chicken - well worth it. But I couldn't resist the tempting Cuban sandwich - best I can remember. Full menu has something for everyone. The staff is cheery and helpful. Owner is on-site. This restaurant surprised and delighted us.

This was my second time dining at Canggio!
I live in CT but I’m about an hour away from the restaurant but when I tell you it’s sooo worth the drive!
If you’re ever in the mood or want to experience Peruvian food this is the place!

Hidden gem! Their brunch is absolutely outstanding. Their dinner is, as well. Drinks are fantastic. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to try something different. Make a reservation if you want to be safe. Street parking.
This place is like a fine wine; it just keeps getting better and better every time I go. The Peruvian coffee encrusted salmon last night was off the charts, not to mention the garlic, spinach mashed potatoes. A+++++
Wonderful, off the beaten path, yet extremely convenient (right near 395 and Rte 2A in Norwich). The only think slightly lacking is parking (and that would be if the place was crowded, which I imagine it could be...I went early at 4:30pm). The service was wonderful! The food was nothing short of amazing! While online, the restaurant comes up as "Japanese/Peruvian", it is not at all Japanese and entirely Peruvian. The only thing similar to Japanese is the freshness of the fish. We ate Seviche, Seared Tuna on salad, Empanadas and Aymara (seared salmon in ground coffee and other spices). What a wonderful presentation and combination of herbs and spices. The olive dip for the Empanadas was to die for delicious! The only thing I would not recommend about this restaurant is to sit at the table in front of the kitchen counter if you're tall. I unexpectedly smacked the back of my head on a shelf that was protruding into the "head space" of the table. Said shelf could easily be removed to prevent injury. That said, if you're under 5'7" (I'm 5'10"), you shouldn't have an issue.
