Excellent food and great service. We were visiting from out of town. If I lived there, I'd be in once a week!

I thought we would try this spot because it had really good reviews. After trying it I didn't understand why it received such good ratings. The place was packed and it had a hole in the wall vibe. I do enjoy some mom and pop places but this isn't one of them. The service was terrible someone took my order and only saw them once and they never stopped to refill my coffee the entire time we were there. I ordered Mexican eggs with beans and rice. The peppers and onions in my eggs were cold and not cooked at all. The beans were like soup and cold. I also ordered a pancake and it was so tough I could barely cut it. We had to ask for the check after waiting forever and then was over charged for the disgusting food we had. It doesn't even deserve the one star I gave this place, we will not be returning!

I didn't get the welcome wagon feeling that I would've liked here. I just wasn't sure I was welcome. It was breakfast and I had a standard breakfast, but I never returned because of the suspect atmosphere. It was so long ago that I'm not sure if I was wowed or not, but if I can't remember, I can't review.

Excellent homemade breakfast!! We had eggs, crispy hash, sausages and rye toast. Eggs fluffy and tasty!

I came here for breakfast after staying at a nearby hotel. It's nothing fancy but the service and food were excellent. Our waitress was sweet and efficient. I got the huevos rancheros. It was so good! I've never had it like this with crispy tortillas. Really good. It was served with rice and beans. Some of the rice was a bit hard but I still ate most of it. My son got a cheese omelet which came with fried potatoes and toast. He loved it! I will return next time I stay in the area!

Best breakfast in town. From the Mexican to traditional breakfast you just can't beat it. And the staff is out of this world friendly.

Had lunch at Joy's Restaurant today. The food and service were both excellent. BLT sandwich loaded with bacon. Other parties had a super-sized Greek salad and a Reuben. Their's were outstanding as well. We'll worth a visit if you're in Norwich.

Joys Country Skillet was suggested by a friend of a friend. Being transplanted here by the military, it pays to know locals? The food at Joy's is awesome and so is the service! I love the casual diner feel here and the staff clearly knows the community and the regulars that come in. They are attentive, making sure coffee is filled and you have what you need. I very much enjoyed my Enchiladas Suizas on my first visit and there are plenty more options I'm looking forward to trying. The parking is problematic on the weekend; not a big lot for a popular place. *Note: don't park at the auto place across the way...they DO notice! Overall I enjoyed my experience at Joys and love having another great breakfast option. ❤️

A good Mexican breakfast is so hard to find. While many places would offer Huevos Rancheros they don't open until lunch time. So it is with great pleasure that I discovered Joy's. This breakfast spot is incredibly popular and even during the week there is a buzz in this place. Im sure that this place must be jam packed on the weekends. While they have standard breakfast fare they also have a Mexican Breakfast section. The Huevos Rancheros was cooked perfectly and was really fast! I wish they would offer Huevos Divorciados which is the dish I fell in love with when I was living in San Diego. Joy add this please! All together great value, good food, and fast service ... what else could you ask for?

Nice little place right outside of Mohegan Sun, pretty easy to get to and fairly full when we stopped by. Service was fast and friendly and we had the Huevos a la mexicana and the eggs benedict and both meals came pretty fast and hot and well prepared. Lots of coffee was good too as we had a long drive ahead. If/when we are back in the area it's a nice place to stop for a meal.

Fun spot to have breakfast. Went in on the way out of Mohegan Sun. We tried the Huevos Rancheres. Really good but they cooked the eggs well done rather than runny and used Swiss cheese on top rather than a Mex blend which was weird. The service was great! We'd try it again!

Delicious breakfast - huevos rancheros on crispy taco made perfectly. Burrito sized just right.
