This hibachi restaurant is a little different than others we've been to. There are no grills to watch them cook, which isn't a big deal, but good info to know if you want to have the show. The sushi was excellent, the hibachi dinners were very good, it was a lighter flavor than others, a couple pieces of chicken were chewy, which is my only criticism.

The food is good, however, the sushi rolls are GIGANTIC and my cheeks are bulging while I try to eat. This takes away from the whole experience for me. Not to mention, the ginger is sliced SO LARGE and tearing it down to more manageable pieces is near impossible. The salmon skins are not crispy and they do not give you enough soy sauce for take out. Although I enjoy the food, the poor presentation (excessively large bites and oversized ginger) makes for a very poor experience and its disappointing honestly.

The quality really depends on the chef and luck. I order every couple weeks, but sometimes it is super fresh, and sometimes it tastes old/ dry.

The food was very disappointing. It was cooked very fast which we appreciate but the quality was bad. The fried rice was extremely bland. I had to re cook my gyoza and the scallions used were very large chunks.
Delicious! The sushi and hibachi are both great quality at a good price. Chicken fried rice is also a go-to. :)

We have loved MAHZU for years but the other night I found myself out late with my daughter on a school night, frazzled after a day of activities, work and visiting my mom in hospital. It was 9pm and they closed at 930. They didn't think twice, welcomed us in and served us a wonderful meal, even staying a few minutes late to accommodate us. It was so great not to have to eat fast food and have a pleasant, delicious meal. I was really grateful and recommend MAHZU to anyone!

I can't find a better place around CT. I think I'd have to go to Japan for better quality.The fish is always fresh, the rice is just right and isn't too stickyI might eat sushi somewhere else if someone else is paying but I refuse to spend my own money on Sushi anywhere else but here.Oh by the way, these are also some of the best prices. If I remember correctly it's between $6-8$ for the salmon avocado roll and it's so basic but no one else prepares it like Mahzu
Parking: Since it's attached to a large shopping plaza, it has more than enough parking spaces.
