As a seasonal boater here for 6 years, it's unfortunate that this beautiful marina has been neglected due to new owners. We decided to leave as of end of 2019 season and will be staying in Mystic for the 2020 season. We hope that the owners can eventually negotiate the sale of this property and let someone with a passion for boating and all things water take over and bring American Wharf back to the prestine marina it once was.2023- American wharf continues to decline. Still no buyer. Many seasonal boaters left this year because they raised the fee but put nothing into the upkeep of docks or grounds. Driving by breaks our heart because we know what it once was.

I had my wedding here and it was phenomenal. Food was out of this world and the service kind and super helpful. ♥️ Thank you for everything! We can't wait to return next season, the chicken Parm is my favorite.

I worked in this location in the past. It holds great memories for me. Service though friendly was slow. Overpriced for what we received. Stopped in after work for a happy hour drink. Ordered martinis that were served in regular glasses. Had to ask for napkins as our drinks sloshed over the sides of the cups when set down. We were left sitting with empty drinks for quit some time before offered another round. Must note we were the only customers in the place as well. There were dirty glasses on the bar and the place was not kept up well at all. Disappointing. We weren't offered menus and the staff seemed more interested in talking with each other rather than taking care of the only customers in the place. It's a shame. It's a beautiful location. Perhaps just a bad day. The drink was tasty but I am always instantly annoyed when served a $15 martini in a juice or rocks glass. And having worked on the property in the past as a manager I remember well the struggles of keeping glassware. But the menu should be set accordingly. I would go again to see if it was just an off day.

Just got back from having a lunch here while we were out riding the motorcycle, what a pleasant surprise, food was very good, waiter who was also the owner was unbelievably attentive and helpful, the extras that were thrown in made a huge difference, the food was extremely good, the guacamole was about as fresh as you could ask for, the Ambiance of this place rocks. I had been here under the previous ownership and had been disappointed but I think this guy has it right, you should definitely try this place again I think it's going to be a big hit. We will be going there again very soon hopefully to have dinner

Overall a great experience. The food was good, just small portions for the price (the only reason I didn't give 5 stars). The outdoor seating was a lovely way to enjoy the beautiful view and weather. A major plus is that they were very accommodating to our dog. They even brought her a bowl of water and ice cubes to play with on the patio.
