Do not dine in here. Had the absolute worst experience here on Valentine’s Day. Made a reservation with my wife 2 days in advance. Showed up for the reservation and the hostess was unpleasant, didn’t ask if we had a reservation and immediately asked for our phone number, and said there was a wait. I explained we had a reservation for 2 at 6, she found it and we were sat right away. Then, a waiter brought waters over and walked away. We proceeded to wait 40 MINUTES at our table and NO ONE ever came to take our drink or food order. Tried making eye contact and signaling for someone and was completely ignored. The worst part was, a table was sat two spots down from us 20 minutes in and a waitress came over right away and took their orders. We got up and left and had to get fast food and go home. Could not have been a worse experience especially when trying to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my wife. Will certainly NEVER go back and I suggest you don’t either. Go somewhere where the staff is competent and attentive and save yourself the headache. 0/5 stars

The woman was extremely careless to my allergy causing me to use my EpiPen in a panic after walking out because she disregarded what i said to her ! She made it a horrible experience for us and I hope she doesn’t get the chance to make anyone else few as horrible as she had made us feel!

On two separate occasions now I have been to this restaurant and now both times a server and now today the owner of the restaurant both have tried to force me to tip them a suggested gratuity at The bottom of the receipt. Today she even said it before I even took my wallet out. When told that it’s suggested they proceeded to yell and cause a scene in front of other guests and children.
I still tipped the server 15% the first time as I know that’s how they earn a living previously being a server in the past myself. This time knowing the lady to be the owner I left only 10% as I know the bar tender is tipped out by wait staff since we order pina colada’s as well as food.
Please know that if a required gratuity is going to be required that a sign and it being added into the bill before being charged is required.

Nice looking place. Our bartender was great and made a yummy Mai tai. We ordered 3 sushi rolls and they were def on the smaller side but overall delicious!

I had my 30th birthday party here last night. I wanted to bring everyone to the casino, but I was sick of all the restrictions surrounding reservations at the casino. Instead we decided to go to Mido. We were a party of 20, they put us in our own private area we were very comfortable and were able to watch the sushi being rolled. They easily accommodated us by splitting the checks for anyone who requested it. They quickly took our order and delivered the food. The fish was fresh and delicious. I had the Kani salad, it was light fresh and spicy. The crab rangoons were crispy and perfect. For my entree I got the ahi tuna crunch roll. It was one of the best sushi rolls I’ve ever had. The fish was so fresh. For my cocktail I got the lychee martini. I ended up ordering 3 before I left it was so sweet and perfectly mixed. They delivered our cake, they didn’t charge us any service fee or plate fee, they even provided us candles because we forgot to bring them. While unsuspecting from the outside, the inside was stylish and warm. I especially liked the bamboo sushi bar. The entire experience was a breeze, the food was easily as good if not better than any of the sushi restaurants in the casino (I’ve been to all), way more reasonably priced, and the staff valued our business more than any restaurant at the casino would. I will definitely be returning. I was blown away by the food and the service, it is a 1 minute drive to the casino winter lot. I would give them more stars if I could.
It's a nice little sushi and Japanese food restaurant. The Sushi was pretty good a little pricey though. The other food was pretty good. It isn't authentic but the food was tasty. And the service was really good

Lo Mein was also pretty good although next time I’m more excited to continue to try more of their sushi menu. Woman who I picked up from was very nice. Will be back!

We had an amazing experience last night. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the midnight fancy roll, and the ramen was probably the best one I have ever had. Our waitress was very attentive and made excellent recommendations. Will be returning next time i’m in town for sure !

I ordered Sashimi B (18 pieces) for lunch the other day. The fish was fresh, generous (plenty of tuna!), and delicious. It was not fishy. The service was great and the atmosphere was relaxed. This is a clean well run restaurant. My companions were happy with their dishes and a look around at other tables made me want to com back and try other dishes.

Great local sushi spot in CT. Not a huge variety and the rolls seemed to be a bit repetitive but delicious fresh fish, an incredible miso soup, and outstanding service made all the difference. You can go a block up the street and pay a fortune for sushi at the casino or enjoy this intimate and friendly local spot. Recommend the paradise roll.
