I’ve been going to this Starbucks for years and it seems that as of recent the level of service has decreased. I called on 11/05 about the “Bearista” holiday cups and was informed by an employee over the phone that two would be available when the store opens on 11/06. I arrived at 3:19am and waited for the store to open at 4:30am. About five minutes prior to the store opening the employees removed the bear cups from the shelves. I was the first customer to enter when they opened and was denied a cup, as I was informed by the employee working the register, Tyler, that the baristas already bought the cups. My issue is with the customer service. Had I been told over the phone that the cups would not have been available for the public, I would not have wasted my time. As far as the atmosphere, the remodel looks good but less spacious than before, and the parking situation is tight.

I don’t know what’s in the air but lately people don’t know how to interact with customers. I order my drink at around 6:24 on the app and at 6:30 I got the notification that it was ready. Got to the cafe and there was nothing on the counter. I’m waiting and then get asked what I was waiting for. I went to tell this girl my order and she cuts me off and rudely says no no I need a name. She then makes my drink and is only polite when she hands it to me. I totally understand being busy and stressed, I used to work in a coffee shop. But don’t be rude just because I didn’t understand that you wanted a name. Then there are chunks of matcha all over my drink because she rushed.

Went thru drive thru at Starbucks in Norwich off Rt 82 at approximately 3:15. Customer service couldn't utter the words thank you if her life depended on it. Very different from the morning crew. She also got the order wrong and looked at us like it was our fault.

I walked into Starbucks today stressed about piles of work. I was pleasantly surprised by warm greetings and smiles. One of the workers there was very friendly and polite, and really added some positivity to my day, after talking some more I found out she was the shift lead named Meesh. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Stopped in there this morning around 6:00 a.m. asked for a black Sumatra. The counter person was very polite and told me that they don't have Sumatra. I've been on the road traveling from South Carolina up every Starbucks that I stopped at had Sumatra I don't get it very very disappointed in so far as that's the only one besides the seasonal that I like.

I only do call ahead, but its always ready when I get there. Parking is a bit tricky but its always busy. Great sign of a popular place.
