This review is a part of my quest of visiting all CT breweries. I tried beers from Lasting Brass at bars before, but this was my first visit to the brewery.
The brewery occupies a separate building near a picturesque area with a river. It has 2 separated outdoor patios and a small area indoors. No food is served inside, but food trucks might are onsite occasionally.
I already had several favorite beers from Lasting Brass, because they were not shy to experiment with flavors. So this time I tried all beers they had on tap. Luckily, there is an option to order a small pour. I have to say, that some beers really impressed me. All the beers I tried were solid, crushable and tasty. But the special place in my heart is reserved to their flagship beers - Java Bloom (Imperial Stout) and Contusion (Sour IPA). These 2 were really bursting with flavor, that was complex and layered. On top of the beers, I thoroughly enjoyed the community in this place. It was filled with regulars, everyone knew each other and it was just a really cozy and friendly environment.
I do recommend this brewery to everyone and it is worth a dedicated trip.
War Poet. Best IPA in CT

Great Beers
Purchased Lasting Brass's Campville Rauchbier Style Smoked Amber Lager and brought it to friends in Berlin Germany. Their review: "...liked the smoked one...makes you want to go the US and sit on a veranda and watch the sunset". When a German endorses your beer, you know it's good!

Excellent beers from Ales to Stouts depending on when you go. Something for everybody. Usually a good food truck on weekends. Knowledgeable staff and great beer from an explemplary brew master.
Top notch brewery. Phenomenal IPAs, Stouts, and lagers. The aged raspberry wild ale is right up there with the best of them. Check them out if you're in the area, you won't be disappointed. 10/10!
One of our favorite places to be, helps that it's close to home, but, we would make the trip regardless! War poet, Into the light, Ziggy if you like lager, all are great! So many to choose from, there will be something for all!
I don't drink, but wanted to support the local farmers at the Watertown Farmers Market. Excellent beer.
Great place! Always offering a great selection of delicious brews. Clean, welcoming, well managed, and always playing some good music. Great food trucks are usually on site as well. One of my favorite breweries and I’ve been to a lot!
