“This was my first time having Costa Rican food, and I was thoroughly impressed! As soon as we walked in, service was friendly and welcoming. I went to wash my hands, and the restroom was immaculate. In terms of the food, everything was fresh and flavorful. I got the Chiflijos, which is fried crispy pork belly with rice, beans, avocado, pico de gallo, and tortilla chips. My girlfriend got the Casado which was stewed chicken with rice, beans, sweet plantains, beet/potato salad, and a fried egg on top. The serving sizes were generous and great for the price. When it came to dessert, we couldn't decide between the pistachio cake and the cassava cake. We ultimately decided on the Cassava Cake, but our server also gave us a small piece of the pistachio cake to try. So kind of her. The pistachio cake was sweet, with a tender crumb, but not cloyingly sweet. The cassava cake was the real star! Served warm, with notes of earthy cassava, coconut, and a caramelized top, it was the perfect way to end our meal. We wish them much success, and would love to return to try more things on the menu.”

Everything was absolutely incredible here - their menu is huge, the staff was knowledgeable about the food and very friendly, and the food came out quickly despite how packed they were with multiple large parties. I thought the lamb kofte was so tender and perfectly cooked. You have to order the mixed cold dips platter too! The belly dancing show was so fun to watch, and we had such a great time that we decided to bring my grandfather here 2 weeks later for his birthday. All we can say is we can’t believe we hadn’t visited sooner! We will definitely be regulars now.”

I had planned to order an omelette as I have a gluten allergy, but didn’t realize that breakfast hours had ended. “It was our first time here, and the experience was great. We had dinner on a Sunday, and it wasn't really super busy, in my opinion. Yes, the restaurant was almost full, but it really wasn't loud or squished in like others have mentioned with the seating situation. Our waitress brought out bruschetta to start, and it was great, we ordered their calamari dish, which was quite large, and they brought complimentary mussels to go with that dish. We got our main dishes and of course by that time you were quite full but we ate what we could and wrapped it up. Our reservation was for 7 pm, we left around 10pm. You are fed the entire time, so honestly it doesn't feel like your waiting for your entrees hungry. I will be trying their new location once they move to see if things change.”
