Terrible food and service... they serve frozen food.. crazy expensive... my wife's quesadilla looked like a child made it... No liquor in the drinks... Quite a few Mexican employees wondering around... So unprofessional.. I would go somewhere else!!!

a friend of mine had a large hair tangled in his coleslaw. he was very discreet about mentioning it to the bartender. she picked the hair out of the food and threw it out and said sorry. did not offer to comp the meal at all. offered a shot. ridiculous then she was rude afterwards.

Haven't been there in years but just as good as I remembered.

Went here with my mom after we went to Gillette’s Castle today the service was very good, quick and the food was great.Bri was a great waitress quick, friendly and serious also we will be back here in the future because it was worth going 25 minutes out of our way to get there.

A home away from “home”. A necessity and lifesaver when visiting relatives and staying with them locally in this basically disgusting and rotten quirky, creative and Artsy community including many historic disgusting feeble minded vintage car collectors?☢️. Which unfortunately has more in common with similar communities out west or Marfa Tx or inner-state, and offers little else in comparison to Essex, Old Saybrook or Mystic which are steps away from coastal New England heaven like Greenwich or Darien. Typically I would stay is Essex, Old Saybrook when in the area which is a relatively more sober and refreshing environment but sometimes that is not an option.Pros; Comfortable riverside environment, Warm genuine service, Ice cold beer, cool jovial bar and excellent approachable comfort food always brings happiness even in critical or emergency situations.

Never had clam chowder before so I can safely say that was the best clam chowder I've ever had. Chicken pot pie was also lovely.
