Hadn’t been here in a while and found out that the ownership had changed. Like many other reviews the food was good but the service was poor. Server also seemed to not be familiar with the specials. Ended up waiting a while to get the check and another wait for pay it. Kind of a ruenoff at the end of a meal. Not sure if we’ll be back

We love it here. Staff are friendly, drinks are great and food is very good. We went on wing night and the prices for wings were very good and wings were tasty. I asked for well done and they were more like regular done, but this was a very minor thing. We will definitely be back!

The food was decent. The service was good. It was a weekday late lunch, the place was empty. It wasn’t a bad experience or a fantastic one. The bar area looked inviting but we did not sit there. Overall average.

This establishment is a hidden gem for those visiting or those who live in East Lyme, CT. A very casual establishment that serves pastas, pizza, sandwiches, sea food and others. Now I am a foodie and food snob of the highest order. I had the absolute BEST Pasta Penne with Vodka Sauce that I have ever eaten, hands down, no exceptions. The Chef/owner puts this dish together from scratch with unique ingredients that blows away anything I've ever had. My wife had the Teriyaki Stir Fried Shrimp that was absolutely excellent. Not what I would expect from a semi Italian restaurant. I saw addition food orders served around us of pizza, pastas and sandwiches, they all looked fantastic. The Hideaway is a long established restaurant that was just purchased a few months ago and is absolutely a gem, give it a try. The Chef/owner will modify any menu item to make you happy. Great food, good luck!

Absolutely delicious pizza! The crust is homemade and thin and crispy since they have a wood-fired pizza oven. They use all high-quality ingredients and it makes a huge difference. New owners are a wonderful family that are very friendly and work hard. You can tell there is pride of ownership here! Will return anytime we're back in the north!
