I had a double order of the seared tuna on wontons that is offered as a small plate. The tuna was fresh, and the seasoning was outstanding. My companion had one of the hot plates that seemed to please her greatly. It was affirming, and added to our pleasure, to be recognized by Cate H, one of the world's most knowledgeable, spirited,, and welcoming servers. The room was more densely populated than usual, perhaps because it was a dank weekend and people were drawn to indoor pleasures. But the noise level remained moderate, and the staff went the extra mile to cope with the challenge of extra diners.

We had a party of five. The service & food were excellent. I have eaten here several times over the past 3 years and their food & service has been consistently excellent.

As usual we had a wonderful early dinner at Aspen. Food was excellent, service was superb . I would highly recommend Aspen for any meal!

First time in. Very busy and bustling- if not LOUD restaurant which we felt was a good sign. The service was excellent even when I had an issue with the wine it was quickly remedied. The lamb Wellington was outstanding. The create your own entree thing seems to be a bit deceiving. You order a meat and a la carte sides which typically would come separately but here they plop it onto the same plate. The lobster bacon fried rice was a miss. Big up charge for undercooked rice and huge chunks of pork in a super sweet sauce with a bit of overdone lobster. The steak and salmon we had were very good. The crème brulee was also excellent. Overall we will probably give it another try in the future!

Aspen is always wonderful. The food is excellent, as is the service. Most memorable: the sticky toffee pudding, which is no longer on the menu, but they have it - presumably because so many of their customers love it. Also wonderful - all their soups. Aspen never disappoints.

We love out Aspen dinners! Have been going there at least 2x a year to meet up with dear friends who live in Fairfield (we live in RI). The food is always delicious and service is impeccable!

Wonderful dinner tonight! Food was delicious as always. Christine was our server again! She's excellent as are the entire wait staff and servers. Put Aspen on your list of great places to dine and enjoy good food! Cheers to the chef!

We lived in this town for 6 years and had never been here. We will definitely go back. Food was outstanding and service was excellent. Only complaint is it's a little dark in the place but that is common in a lot of restaurants now.

Food/ambience was excellent. Only down side was our food took a long time to come out. Waitress told us we got stuck behind a large party they had downstairs. Gave us a coupon for 10% of next visit. This continues to be our favorite spot in the area

Everything was amazing! I've worked in fine dining and you can tell they know what they are doing! The little things that many don't notice at first go a long way and make the experience so much better. The food is insanely good and our server Amy was as well. It was my boyfriend's birthday and it ended up being a great night. If you want a nice night from start to finish for a special occasion, Aspen can deliver!

The Aspen has consistently good food and service. The one issue that is problematic is the late day sun coming into the dining room. I was not able to stay seated in the chair at my table facing my partner. I had to move to the other side of the table until the sun shifted position because it was completely blinding. The windows need some kind of shades that would help at that time of day particularly during the summer months when the sun is still high in the sky during dinner hour.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Had a difficult time selecting an entree from the many appealing choices. All 4 of us raved about the food. Waitress was extremely nice. Wish we lived closer.

Kid-friendliness: Staff took care of our party of 18 (including one baby and two children) with compassion, kindness and no drama. Our meals arrived quickly and accurately - so perfect for the two children in the group.

Wheelchair accessibility: Elevator to basement for wheelchair bound if main floor is full.

They definitely need to address the two biggest problems in the dining room which are the no shades and sun in your eyes and the poor acoustics which make it difficult to have a conversation. And although we all enjoyed our main courses, I did not love the side dishes with the salmon. The attention from the server was excellent as well as the host. We live around the corner and will definitely be back a lot this season.

We really enjoyed our dinner at Aspen. We weren't rushed through, food was nicely paced, and our waitress made the evening fun. We had the tuna appetizer, veal Milanese, black truffle and prosciutto pasta, toffee pudding, apple bread pudding, and coffee. Delicious meal. Staff is so courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable. Give it a try.?
