Small, local hole in the wall type of place. Great breakfast wraps and lattes. A little expensive but really, what isn't anymore. :)

Such a charmer. Wee roadside cafe, with wonderful breakfast. It feels like a step back in time. My son swears by their sandwiches

I like the owner. And it’s him making your coffee and food. Not a rookie

Art is the hardest working person on this shoreline. Always open, even Christmas morning!!! Great egg sandwiches and omelets. His cappuccino is the very best in town! Thanks Art!

My wife and I headed to Old Saybrook for Sunday breakfast. There are many options in the center, and this little place caught our eye - so we gave it a whirl, and we were not disappointed! The Nutty Joe Coffee ☕ is off the chain stupid delicious ?; we could drink cup after cup after cup... and still want another cup! I had a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel w hot sauce - spot on. My wife had perfectly poached eggs and a delicious banana muffin... no complaints. The gentleman working the grill was fantastic, and sitting outside was just the topper to our wonderful experience. If you haven't been, get there; you will not be disappointed.

Great alternative to union busting Starbucks.

In Old Saybrook on Main Street I stopped by Cafe Toscana for some coffee with my two friends. This is a tiny little coffee shop that also makes some breakfast options. It looks cute from the outside, but looks like it could use a little refreshment both inside and outside. The outside screen door is hanging by a thread. The man working inside appeared to be the owner. And he was the only one I saw working. There was a woman in front of me, who was waiting for her order. Then it was my turn, I walked up to the counter to place my order, and he immediately said "do you know what you want? I'll take him instead." Referring to a customer sitting down. I just walked over, I wasn't hanging out. I'd say that's a bit uninviting and off putting. I quickly ordered a French Vanilla ice coffee, a hot coffee and an ice tea. There is an area where you can add what you need to your coffee. At the counter there is a sign that says to step away after you make your order. We got our coffees and sat outside. These were actually 20 ounce coffees for $10.00 altogether, so it was a real bargain. My coffee was perfect, flavorful, fresh and delicious! He truly makes excellent coffee here. I didn't like how off putting he was. Starbucks is just a few doors away. I'd much rather support a small business like this one then a chain like Starbucks. Coffee is excellent, I can't speak for the breakfast, there's plenty of room for improvement for the establishment and the vibe inside.

Went here for the first time today after seeing they had 4.5 stars, I ordered a BEC on a everything bagel and the bagel was freezer burnt and my “Bacon Egg and Cheese” had one slice of bacon even though I saw a tray of bacon behind the counter. Not happy, especially because I was one of the only people there.
