I had some business to attend to in the area and didn't want to stay in a mediocre motel. The James Pharmacy was absolutely perfect! Monica was our liaison, and she was absolutely fabulous. Everything we needed was tended to. The rooms are beautiful. The restaurant downstairs, everything you would want. It is well appointed, clean, and quiet. The only thing I would warn is that the stairs are pretty treacherous. It would be very difficult if you have mobility her balance issues. I would 100% recommend people stay here.

Place is very warming and beautiful. The only downfall is the parking as it is very tight and limited spots as the employees downstairs use the lot as well. Monica was such an amazing host as she answered all our questions on best places to eat and visit during our stay. The bed was so perfect from the looks of it as you opened the door to the time we had to put our heads down to sleep. Bathroom was very pretty and bright with the nice glass . Water pressure was great as well.

A small French bistro with outstanding food, almost like you are sitting in downtown Paris, plus many other surprises

It was a nice place to relax on a weekend getaway. The restaurant downstairs was really awesome. The The caramelized onion with eggs was phenomenal, as was the Canadian Bacon slabs!!

My wife and I celebrated our 20th anniversary at the JamesPharmacy. This place is definitely made for a romantic occasion. The parking is in the back and is private which is nice. As soon as you walk into the back door your greeted with a beautiful lobby with a coffee table, a bench and a nice comfy chair. The back yard seating is very nice as well, especially on a nice fall evening I bet. The room we stayed in was beautiful and very clean!! The bathroom is a good size and very open with beautiful glass and great water pressure. The mattress was very comfortable and the pillows. We were also welcomed with a beautiful Rose on the table along with breakfast vouchers for each morning of our stay, which was 25.00 and can choose in between 2 restaurants. The restaurant underneath is very antique as well as the room and the settings. We will definitely be staying here again. Like I said the room/bathroom was perfect, very clean and beautiful. Thank you for making our Anniversary a wonderful memory. Mike.

What a lovely place!! My daughter and I originally planned to stop by to get a coffee and pastry to go but had to dine in after seeing how wonderful it was inside. Our breakfast was delicious, and the staff was so very friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be going back again on one of our Saturday outings.

Positives: Location - close to shops, restaurants, etc. Off street parking in rear Room was as pictured on website, nicely appointed Great wi-fi Spacious bathroom, good shower (water pressure) Negatives: Owner non responsive to inquiries Exterior in very poor condition Awful disinfectant odor permeating building, including our room Noisy - door slamming downstairs, etc. and LOUD MUSIC coming from downstairs in the early Sunday AM from Gelateria (we were only guests or so it appeared. Not sure). But it was awful. Even if other guests, they should been told to turn it down. OBNOXIOUS. Dirty towels left in bathroom by prior guest* Overall, room and bathroom should be cleaner. Found debris on an unused (by us) bath towel. Antique steps to our room were a bit tricky, and there seemed to be no functioning overhead light $50 cleaning fee charged at reservation (we still left a gratuity for housekeeping.) No amenities or breakfast due to Covid, except coffeemaker. This was disclosed. No common room Pricey. Even at the reduced rate still expensive; not a good value. *Staff contact was responsive, removed towels and brought two additional bath towels requested. $600+ for two nights’ stay that was truly one of the worst of our traveling experiences over the years. These people have no business running a B&B. Do not recommend. Note: I rarely give negative reviews. However, to provide an honest review and maintain the integrity of this site, I have listed the most serious concerns to give a head’s up to the next traveler.

This is the worst bed and breakfast I ever stayed in. I would give this place a zero star rating. I had 4 issues with this place:#1) They didn't serve breakfast. It's a bed and breakfast so my girlfriend and I naturally assumed that they would be serving breakfast. No where on the website or anywhere else do they mention that they don't serve a breakfast. This place is expensive per night, if we knew we weren't getting breakfast then we wouldn't have booked.#2) My girlfriend and I stayed for 4 days and they only supplied us with 2 clean towels for the whole stay.#3) The cleaning lady never showed up once to clean the room.#4) The person that is the contact person is not the owner and wasn't even in the state of Connecticut when I called her. So there was no one able to come over and attend to our needs. When I spoke to the contact person on the phone, she was rude and laughed off my issues. And instead of trying to rectify the situation, she hung up on me.Since they don't serve breakfast, they should change the listing from bed and breakfast to just bed

Went in on a whim for take out, which they don't offer. Looks great though. They have Brunch on weekends. Will go back because the menu looked fantastic. Only 4 stars, for now...

We came to the cafe for gelato and French pastries. The place is beautiful and has a lot of charm. The staff was friendly and gracious. And all the offerings delicious. Enjoyed our time here!
