Luigi's Restaurant

My wife & I went here for dinner before a show at The Kate Arts Center. The food was delicious. We both took home the leftovers for another meal. The service was great. And my wife had a glass of the house moscato wine. She said it was the best moscato she has ever had. The entire staff from the manager to everyone else were excellent. Everything ran so smoothly. We were very impressed with everything. If we are back in Old Saybrook, we know where we will be eating out.

Great family run Italian restaurant filled with great vibes and caring staff. Excellent food. Highly recommend Luigi's!

We have been going there for over 30 years also have had events there and catered events. They never miss a beat. Great food, people and fair prices. You won't be disappointed.

Old school Italian. The Luigi Speciale salad is full of Italian cold cuts. The pizza crust has a delicious semolina dusting on the bottom and the clams casino pie is outstanding. The meatballs are wonderful and the service and staff are like family.

As always dinner at Luigi's is excellent. The place is always packed. Make a reservation FFS

Had dinner there Friday. Our meal was wonderful as usual, Dan was Great. Sorry we missed seeing you Lennie, hopefully next time.

Passed it many times but never went. Yesterday we did . Had a moderately priced Italian meal and was quite happy . Quite good food . Can’t do excellent ,but certainly in the cards . Basic Italian food well prepared and good service

Great place for dinner. The menu is excellent. Our meal was great and prepared to perfection. Would recommend for any occasion.

Our waiter explained everything. Checked on us often making sure our dining experience was perfect.

Luigi's is our favorite red sauce Italian restaurant in the state. Owner Len DiBella runs an excellent operation with great food, good vibes, and wonder staff.

Service was great they were friendly, attentive and professional. The food was excellent. Had the steak it was cooked to the right temperature , juicy and tasty. The drinks were great. What more can we ask from a restaurant.

Our dinner food quality was excellent. Everyone enjoyed the Penne Rustica, Shrimp Blanca & Chicken Piccata dishes ordered. Our waiter was very attentive yet not intrusive. The bummer was the ambience and noise level. The tables were a little close together so we were privy to every conversation around us. We will return because of the food quality though!

Came last year for a belated Valentines dinner and decided to come again for this year! We made a reservation in advance, ended up being during a snow storm and us mixing up our reservation times but we had no problem being seated by very friendly staff. Our server Erin was very polite, helpful, and friendly. We have been waiting a year to order an app of warm bread and garlic dressing to dip (different from the garlic bread). We love this!! The garlic dip is so refreshing and tasteful. I ordered the penne alla vodka, the pasta was cooked more on the harder al dente side than I preferred but it tasted better left over the next day. I even added some of the garlic dressing on top of my pasta. They serve the garlic dip in pint or quart sizes for take away which we left with a pint in hand. Tastes just as good at home as it does in the restaurant. We each ordered a martini as well, I had a pistachio martini, although it did not taste much like pistachio I very much enjoyed it, it was creamy but did not sit too heavy. My boyfriend ordered an Italian Manhattan martini which was very strong and could’ve been considered two drinks in one. All in all, we have not yet been disappointed with the service and look forward to coming again for next year’s valentines celebration.
