Visiting Parthenon Diner-Old Saybrook was like stepping into a real-life American movie for us, a Filipino couple attending a wedding later that afternoon. The diner had a quintessential American vibe, complete with retro decor and cozy booths.

The portions were enormous, a pleasant surprise and a bit overwhelming at the same time. The service was impressively quick and efficient, and the staff were friendly and accommodating, making us feel right at home despite being far from the Philippines.

I opted for a classic breakfast steak, while my girlfriend chose the pancakes. The food was decent – nothing particularly outstanding, but good enough to leave us full and satisfied. The flavors were straightforward and typical of an American diner.

I ordered delivery through door dash. The food was cold. Toast burnt and no butter. Hash browns always taste bland like they don't put any seasoning on it or not enough.
