My favorite gourmet food to go place
First generation Italian here. Used to Mom's cooking, off the boat from Italy. Pastavita has great variety, good Italian selection. Tried their meatball stromboli. So drowned in salt that the overall taste completely ruined, cut back on the salt and might be ok
My last trip to Pasta Vita, as always was amazing, however there were protesters in front of the building.
Electric and gas stove tops, double ovens, air fryers, microwaves of all sizes, complete sets of pots and pans and other cooking utensils for exercising their freedom of speech.
It was only a matter of time but the world is crazy. today so why not make it crazier.
Now to the good stuff.
Quality, variety, accessibility, and friendly staff makes this establishment the number one place for us to buy our food.
I have been buying Pasta Vita food for my 94 year-old dad for over a year and it has made his life so uncomplicated and I know he is getting a good meal every night of the week.
Start ditchin your kitchen and visit Pasta Vita.
Friendly staff, Yummy selections, delicious salads 🥗 😋
I purchased a lasagna for $55.00 and honest to god the 3 of us thought we were eating DOG FOOD!!!! IT WAS DISGUSTING. Instead of actual meatballs and sausage, it was ground up finely. Far too much watery tasteless sauce and the noodles were soft and squishy. I was so shocked and will never go back.
Absolutely the best takeout prepared meals
I'm Italian and grew up in new haven, so all I ask is that whoever is making italian food at least put all the ingredients from a classic recipe in it. It doesn't have to be amazing, just faithful to what you are calling it on the label. I don't think Pasta Vita is trying to deliver some innovative creation by omitting the meat, riccotta cheese and onions from their baked ziti, but only pasta sauce, ziti and some bagged shredded mozzarell sprinkled over the top makes it quite lame. The owner should take a day trip to Aldo's in Middlefield for a dish of their baked ziti, just in case they don't already know what they're doing wrong which I'm sure they're well aware. I could just as easily name 25 restaurants in CT on par with Aldo's food. One star would be harsh, two stars simply says its edible but a disappointment. Locals seems to love the place, but then the shoreline is a lot of seafoodies where anything with tomato sauce on it is italian.
Love the food selections!
The food is always so tasty and comforting – it honestly feels like a home-cooked meal. You can really tell everything is made with care. My son especially loves the tiramisu – he asks for it every time!
OMG I was recommended Pasta Vita by a friend and let me tell you, I am SO mad at my self for needing to be reminded to go here twice. The ladies at the counter are super sweet and the selection here is incredible! I picked up a few salads and entrees and everything I've eaten so far has been 10/10 delicious. I will 100% be back here many times. The meals are the perfect thing when you want something homemade but you're not feeling up to cooking.
Restaurantji Recommends
I wish it wasn't so far away. There was a great selection of foods.
Great Food and Lot's to choose from
I haven't been here in a year or two. They still have the same amazing dinners but unfortunately the prices went up
I understand that. But I got two big Greek salads, macaroni and cheese and ttwo veggies stuffed peppers for about $50
Super popular place to buy gourmet food, call ahead for specialty items. Top tier food . Very clean.
Restaurant quality food. Heat at home less pricey than restaurant eat in or takeout. Very large selection of entrees , sides, salads, deserts. Really good bread.
