The food is so good, we wish we had it again tonight. ?
The trains/setting at old Saybrook junction is really nice. Made my sons night, he’s an avid train enthusiast!!
Great for people of any age but especially good for kids.

Loved this place! Excellent pizzas (thin and crisp, but still with a good chew to the dough), very friendly service, and fun for kids. My son loved the train set and being able to see the live feed of the real trains next door.
Kid-friendliness: Elaborate model train set and lots of train decor

The pizza is incredibly mediocre and way to expensive for what it is especially in this state when we have so much good pizza around I paid 22.50$ for a 12 inch pizza with 2 toppings that’s highway robbery

I always love pizza Works.! I grew up in the town of Old Saybrook, and the majority of my life and I’m 62 years old.!! but I can tell you the owner of Pizza Works is nasty and I went today with my two daughters and my granddaughter August 16, 2024 .The owner was rude, evil and nasty beyond belief when we simply asked for a cheese pizza that would be lightly baked because my granddaughter doesn’t like burnt cheese. She’s a very picky eater! How in the hell would we know or most people would know that they would shove spices on that pizza, including pepper and fresh garlic , etc. on top of a simple cheese pizza for a little kid!!! They don’t specify it whatsoever on their menu, and the owner came out and was beyond extremely rude to my daughter, the mother of my granddaughter, and said,” You need to state that you don’t want spices on the cheese pizza and they also put fresh garlic on it! You need to state all that because you’re just wasting our food.!” How about I’m all set with her restaurant in general she’s a nasty un personable owner and I’m sure she treats her workers like garbage as well!!!! I wish she would clean up act
The pizza here is fantastic. Perfectly made, which is what you expect from CT pizza. The area is great, right next to the train station. They also have model trains on display inside. I also liked that they have Shirley temples to drink.

Great pizza with unique varieties. Some favorites are the bacon cheeseburger pizza (complete with ketchup, mustard, and pickles) and the loaded baked potato pizza, along with the more classic tomato and basil varieties. Check out the menu for all the options- too many to list here. The gluten-free crust is great, too- thin and crisp. Also a big fan of the salads, and they have a good variety of beverages (with or without alcohol), too. As for the atmosphere- there’s a nice, covered outdoor area, open indoor area on the main level, and, for train lovers, the upper level has two amazing model train layouts with working trains and views of the train station outside. The staff are friendly and willing to work with dietary needs, and service is usually pretty quick.
Dietary restrictions: Gluten friendly.

We stopped here on our road trip back to Tennessee and our kids instantly fell in love with the train setup upstairs. The staff were super friendly and very welcoming. The pizza tasted better than we even imagined! I wish we had a place like this in Tennessee! Will definitely be recommending and stopping back by on our next travels.
