Aloo mattar gobi overcooked as if it were reheated and prepared much earlier. Baingan (eggplant) pieces undercooked though otherwise tasty. Palak well made with paneer that was genuine and tasty. I asked for mild but the aloo gobhi and spinach were still too spicy as if maybe they were doling out the same prepared food regardless of how you ordered it. Overpriced for mediocre quality but generous quantity.

We came as a party of three on a Thursday night. We were sat at a comfortable booth. I appreciate the detailed descriptions for each dish. All the food was delicious, I especially enjoyed the lamb Rogan Josh. I asked for spicy, and was not disappointed. The garlic naan and ghee paratha went great with the curry. The owner was very nice and came out to check on us.

We were walking around when the basil smell started coming out of the air. We chased it and walked in this place and asked 2 portions of whatever was cooking. Great experience and wonderful people. Don’t get fooled by the atmosphere!

We had a lovely dinner experience at Curry Queen! I ordered the chicken tandoori, which was served on dressed greens. The chicken was incredibly moist and flavorful. My husband and our friends loved their dishes as well. We ordered samosas and naan (garlic and plain) and it was gorgeous and delicious. The owner chatted with us and answered our questions about several dishes, and our waiter was friendly and attentive. The dining room was not busy the night we were there but the takeout side seemed to be doing a steady business. We will definitely add Curry Queen to our go-to places for takeout and eat-in.

Delicious food and exceptional service! We were kindly given a lassi and additional appetizer on the house which were both delicious. The three curries we had ordered were all delicious, garlic naan was very garlicy and crisp, the best I’ve had. Would definitely go again.

Great food and great service; if you want good curry, come here. Drinks are also amazing. Unlike other restaurants in Old Saybrook, this place is worth coming back to.
