While traveling from New York to Rhode Island, we stopped at The Curry Queen for a quick lunch—and what an incredible find! The restaurant has ample parking and a charming, decorative interior that adds to the experience. We ordered Chicken Korma and ghee-topped wheat chapatis. The chapatis were soft and perfectly made, while the Chicken Korma was bursting with flavor. We asked for medium spice, and it was just right—rich, aromatic, and satisfying. We eat a lot of Indian food elsewhere and this was absolutely delicious! The menu did not have the Kerala Coconut curries we saw online, but we asked and got coconut shrimp w veggies that had great flavor. The Aloo Saag tasted very fresh and also had great flavor. The atmosphere is warm, tasteful and casual. Two dishes is more than enough for most couples.
This is one of our favorite places for Indian food in the area. The woman who owns it and does much of the cooking always makes a point to come out and see how everything is. We’ve never had to ask for anything to be fixed - but I expect she would want to do everything possible for you to enjoy the food. By far hers the best roti I’ve had around here. They are now introducing Southern Indian dishes - which I’m anxious to try. Give the place a shot!
