Best pancakes ever! Eggs Benedict was amazing. The staff was attentive and engaging. Prices are comparable to other local eateries, We have been to almost all the local breakfast spots and have been disappointed with the food and service. This restaurant is our new favorite. definitely a must go.

After loyal patronage for the last few years (good food, excellent service, low prices), we experienced a rude awakening yesterday morning. Our check was nearly double what we’re accustomed to, and the new server charged us for two coffees, because I sipped from my partner’s order—I’m not kidding. Either this reflects a marked change in management’s ethos, or the attitude of one employee. The bottom line was a bad vibe.

Previous experience and servers were almost uniformly excellent. The current rating is based on a surprisingly poor treatment. Sometimes that’s all it takes to lose a customer and alter the atmosphere.

The Tea Kettle is a must for breakfast or lunch. We had breakfast and it was so delicious. Formost, the Chicken and Waffle was so good! The presentation was excellent, but the combination was definitely delightful. The chicken was perfect, tender and moist ontop of a beautiful waffle. Breakfast potatoes were good, omelette and strawberry pancakes, Paleo CrossFit pancakes so good! You'll definitely won't be eating anything after your meal. Service was very good and we ate outside in beautiful weather.

We come to the shore every year for 2-3 weeks and always go half the time for breakfast. It's always great and food is awesome!

Heard good things about this place and their stuffed pancakes. Nice quaint place. Many pancake options and also healthy options like paleo, keto, and gluten-free . You can also order other items, and everything honestly sounds delicious. Ordered chicken and pancakes, which my daughter said was fire, home fries, and blueberry pancakes. My pancake came out almost as big as the plate. Everything was so delicious I decided to go give props to the chefs. The waitress I had was very on top of everything. She was hard working and was pleasant. This was a redo place n five stars to me.

Kid-friendliness: They have those place mats with Kid friendly games to do or if you are a big kid at heart and love doing makes and word finds.

Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible to get in, but the tables might not be accessible for all wheelchairs.

Waitress was rude food was okay. Besides her only coming up to the table once she gave us the feeling that she didn’t want us there. Won’t be back.

If you're not offended by the close proximity of other diners, this place offers the most incredible selection of pancakes and other breakfast foods. Service is fast and on point!

Disappointed. Bad old oil taste. Eggs hard boiled not for hollandaise.

I was dropping my friend off and waiting to pick them up while they got their wisdom teeth removed when I stumbled across this place. The atmosphere was very welcoming and the woman who put my food in for me was kind. My food was ready in around ten minutes and was a very large portion; it was very good. I really enjoyed my experience.

The Tea Kettle in Old Saybrook is one of our new favorite spots for breakfast and lunch. They are warm and welcoming and provide excellent service. The food is delicious and there are lots of options for those who are keto, paleo and/or gluten free. They also offer indulgences including a wall of decadent pancake and French toast options and a southern corner for those craving chicken and waffles and the like.

Wheelchair accessibility: Our 92 year old dad uses a walker and had an easy time getting in and navigating the space. Both bathrooms are handicap accessible and the space between tables is generous enough to easily allow a walker or wheelchair to pass through.

Ordered the Chicken and waffles. I'd order it every day, if I wasn't trying to get in shape lol.
