China Pavilion offers high-quality Chinese food, with prompt service and a spacious, clean dining room decorated in a Chinese theme. The General Tso's chicken is made with white meat and flavorful spices, which makes it stand out from others. The moo goo gai pan is described as unusually flavorful, with thick sauce and perfectly complemented fried rice. Wonton soup with big dumplings and juicy, large dumplings as appetizers are also highlights. The restaurant was voted the best in Connecticut, and the mixed drinks are a great addition to the meal. Recent visitors enjoyed the large portions and heavy protein content, especially vegan chicken and veggies, which they found very good. The vegan chicken is considered sooo good and worth two meals. The atmosphere is a bit dated, with tarnished silverware, but the staff are pleasant and attentive. The menu has clearly labeled vegan options, and parking is plentiful and free. Despite some minor issues, the overall experience at China Pavilion remains enjoyable and worth returning to, especially for those seeking genuine Chinese cuisine.
