Coromandel Cuisine of India

We love Indian food, and this is one of our favorite restaurants. We drive an hour to come here. We had a group of eight and they accommodated us wonderfully; gave us great service and an excellent night! We will be back!

We required some vegan dishes and the staff was very knowledgeable and accommodating. They adjusted the ingredients in some of the dishes for our vegan guests. A very enjoyable experience!

Had a great meal on a snowy night. We had lamb, chicken, rice and naan all were delicious and spicy. We even tried the ginger chicken wings to start which were full of flavor. For desert we had Indian ice cream my new favorite.

Love this place. Wonderful spices and less well-known dishes as well as the familiar ones. Ask the waiter for a recommendation for something special. I've been to many Indian restaurants in the US and abroad. This one is my absolute favorite. Try it; you'll like it.

Went to Coromandel for the first time since the pandemic hit. It did not disappoint! The food and service were nothing short of wonderful. I ordered the sabzi masala and my mother ordered biriyani chicken, and we had an order of mirchi pakora and onion kulcha to share. There was enough food for at least 2 more people (we knew we over ordered, but my mother had only had Indian cuisine once before and I wanted to be sure she tasted a variety of options) . Everything was fresh and the depth of flavor was amazing. I'm so glad we were able to dine out again - this is the go-to for Indian cuisine, without a doubt, and definitely the best in the greater New Haven area.

AK is a great waiter. Highly recommend the sampler beverage platter and the fried cauliflower appetizer. Great atmosphere, clean, and excellent food.

Ordered chicken 65 as a starter which was super dry and hard to engulf pieces were tiny crinkled and less meat, biryani was not extraordinary but good for two people to fill the belly 6/10. I feel like they have invested in ambiance, quality n quantity of food, some sort of sweet gestures including providing anything complementary (in my case onions) would be excellent to attract ur customers so they may come again and again not only the first time. I asked for onions but they mentioned they will charge for it which turned me off, never at any place anyone has charged me for providing some onions with biryani.

Love the food. I crave their chicken tikka masala. So great about accommodating to my allergies too. If I could give a 11/10 I would!
