It wasn't the greatest I've had and it's not the worst , but it sucked. The chicken was barley cooked and was chewy , it was very bland. The sushi was not that great and the soy sauce was super salty. It is sad because before covid this place was awesome , they are not opened indoors anymore and the place looks like an absolute mess and the owner clearly doesn't care. If you want GOOD Asian food , drive up to killingly and go to Yamato or go down to norwich and go to mahzu do not waste your money here, hopefully the owner will sell and they can put a good japanese/Chinese resteraunt in.

The WORST FOOD EVER. I had the lunch special Spareribs with rice and egg roll. The ribs were dry ? and flavorless the rice was old ?? and dry and the egg roll must have been refried it was sooo greasy.? Waste of money because it all went in the garbage! Will NEVER waste my money ? here again.I was told by my coworkers the restaurant by Big Y is alot better.

Amazing food, really nice owner lady... Buuuutttt it's takeout only ?****FYI **** cost per person may look steep, but that's because I get sushi! Really awesome sushi ?

Ate there often till today they gave me wrong order I brought home then had to bring it back they tried to add the missing food on the cold food that I already touched an brought back I told them I touched the food an everything an they brought it back to the kitchen still an prob tried to sell the stuff they messed up be careful all I won't eat there again after that instead of just throwing the food away so sad was the only decent Chinese place in Plainfield till I just seen that happen no sorry no nothing for having to go there 2 times just to get cold food the second time I got my money back

Joyful House has very good Chinese Food. We get take out on occasion. Id like to see dine in option open up again. Always friendly/ always good.

No. Just no. The egg rolls are very weird with extra carrots and an odd flavor. The chicken wings were really gross looking- didnt even touch them. The fried rice was also not good at all. None of it was even eaten. Save yourself $30 and get food elsewhere.

Healthy food section is all right !!! A lot of protein (chicken) and vegetables with not sauce. Spring rolls are great . Recommended!!!

Joyful has the best Chinese food in the Plainfield area, wicked bummer that they NEVER plan to open the dinning room to allow guests to sit inside for a dine in experience. I will always come for take out — but it’s just the owners that don’t want to pay staff to work when they can make all their money in take out and pay the rent.

Just move to the area and wanted to try the food. Honestly the worst Chinese food I've ever had. The chicken fingers were just about only batter. The general tsos was just bad and un edible. Threw it out. Teriyaki sticks had barely and meat. Only part of the meal that was at least something to eat was the crab rangoon. Usually don't give out bad reviews but this one needed to be said
