As someone who doesnāt live in the area, this place was recommended to me by a local coworker. While the restaurant itself is casual and unassuming, the food was incredible. Everything we had was better than expected, and we learned there is a reason almost every table around us had a plate of wings! The French onion soup was also one of the best Iāve ever had. We found out from our wonderful waitress, Jade, that a lot of what makes the food so good is how much is made fresh in house, down to the caramel sauce! Jade was so sweet, I would ask for her again if I made the trek back (and Iām seriously considering it after the meal!).

I went there for the Robert Burn Event. The severs are awesome! Very polite and helpful. Always with a smile too. The food fantastic! I had prime rib dinner and it was the best I've had in years! The veggies are delicious too! I had a fantastic time. Thank Saint Andrew's Society for sponsoring this fabulous event. I look forward to next year.

J Timothy's has a charming, historic atmosphere. Wings are the #1 item to order here, but the other dishes don't disappoint. The short rib grilled cheese is one of my favorites. The menu also includes a nice selection of local beers.
The only con to eating at J Timothy's is that there is often a wait to be seated.

My son and I came in for dinner and the owner was incredibly generous and kind. The food and atmosphere were excellent, along with the wait staff. My son will always remember the generosity. Pretty dang good.. up here in CT on a business trip and had the opportunity to check out J Timothyās. Many people have mentioned this place upon arrival here, and I was skeptical. So I bought into the hype and Iām very pleased I did. I ordered a double of the buffalo wings done their signature dirty style, as well as a pub burger with fries. the wings are fantastic and the burger was great it has a horseradish sauce that is a little strong but worth the experience. Iām pretty sure our waitress is under the impression that I have never eaten before on account of the way I in haled my food. Absolutely give this place a chanceā¦. If you can get a table that is as itās pretty dang good

Iāve been meaning to update this review. I returned with my daughter in February for a late Saturday lunch. We were seated quickly and the Taverne was again hopping! We had a variety of food that was quite good and took home enough for dinner. This place does some businessā¦.and now I know why: itās quite good but quite loud. Old: Must be great, 90 minute wait at 5:15 on a Saturday evening.

I only ever get the dirty buffalo wings here which are probably a top 5 wing in my book. Service is good at the bar. The onion straws were a little over cooked and cardboard-y but decent. I got later to avoid the excessive happy hour crowds and it's in and out quickly.
