I ordered the veal Paggliacci. It came out curling on the sides, it was so overcooked. The table shook when I tried to cut into it. I told the server that it was not good and I would like something else instead, please. I was then approached by a very gruff, unwelcoming hostess who asked, "So, what was wrong with it??" When I explained it was dry and not what I expected, I was told, "there's a description on the menu." I told her that it was not an accurate description and that the veal was tough and dry. "I have to speak to the owner," she told me. Then the owner approached my table and told me, "We don't get complaints about this very often." I told her the same thing I told the hostess, it was dry, it was tough, it was not good, I would like to order something else. She got me a menu, and I ordered the pork chops Siciliano. the server asked how I wanted it cooked. I said well it is pork, so well done, please, since it is unsafe to eat pork that is not well done. I waited about 20 minutes and was served bone dry pork chops that took me about 5 minutes to finish chewing. I couldn't eat more than two bites. It was hurting my jaw. At that point, I conceded defeat and asked for the bill, which my friend and I had asked to have separate checks. He brought one check. Overall, it was a bad experience that left a foul taste in my mouth and left me with heartburn the rest of my night. Don't order the veal or the pork. If you don't like something, be prepared for an interrogation as to why you don't love this subpar experience. I could have dealt with the bad food, it was the way I was treated when I said it wasn't good that truly bothered me. The server asked if I wanted a box for the pork chops, I said no. I won't be going back any time soon.

My new favorite restaurant.
Ate there tonight (9/14/24) and had a great time. Fresh Italian bread, real homemade pasta, great wine, salads and desserts. What more can you ask for? The food and the service was excellent. Abundant potions, so we now have enough leftovers to last us at least one or two more meals.
Please, never go out of business! We'll be back for sure!

Wasn't feeling up to well today, thought Italian wedding soup and garlic. bread sounded good.
Soup was alright, but not what I expected, I was under the impression wedding soup had tiny meatballs and chicken. Overall not too bad.
What really surprised me was the cost of the almost flavorless garlic bread I was charged 6 or 7 dollars for, it's bread not gold.
I left with a bowl of soup garlic bread and paid almost 14 dollars ...Wow!
Am I missing the big picture?
Perhaps I'm behind the times, that's OK, lesson learned.
Everything was very good. From the service, food and atmosphere.

Friendly staff and served hot food fast with less waiting time. Place can accommodate large parties and good place to catch up with friends!

Probably the best Italian cuisine in the local area. We travel from Bristol every Tuesday to, as of now, enjoy their Chicken Cacciatore with salad and fantastic bread combo. I will move on to other menu items as soon as the CC gets boring. I do not see that happening in the near future. Thank you Pagliacci’s!! Light music and respectfully quiet. Perfect for us after a full week of chaos in a shop.

We’ve gone to Pagliacci’s for years. Since Dennis left, it’s been hit or miss. Last night was a miss. Service was horrible. Hostess that sat us was miserable and barely acknowledged us. Server was sloooooww. Took 14 mins (yes, I timed it) to even get water, which we ended up asking another server to please get for us. Finally got out salads and appetizer, but no sooner had we started eating when our main meal arrived. The food was delicious, but the experience was horrible.

We had a reservation for two, and when we arrived, a dour, unfriendly older woman barely spoke to us as she ushered us to a tiny table in the back of the restaurant. When I told her that we had a reservation and would like to sit in a booth to be more comfortable, she wordlessly snatched the menus from the table and started walking back toward the section of the restaurant where there were empty booths. When we got to a booth, she looked at the empty table and said that the section was closed, people are "seated by section," and that we could not sit in a booth. There were people sitting in that section, which was clearly open. She did not offer to seat us in any of the other sections where booths were empty and patrons were eating. I said "thank you" and turned to leave as she walked away without another word. I could not help but notice that all of the patrons of color were seated in the area where only wooden tables and chairs were placed--the section where this woman initially tried to seat us. All of the patrons seated in booths in the front of the restaurant were White. You can deduce from this what you like, but it seemed obvious to us that the seating, at least on Saturday, June 8, 2024, at that this restaurant, was segregated.
