Sliders Grill & Bar - Plainville, CT

I ve been coming to sliders since 2002 back when it was still a real bar with pool tables and darts. Took a little a little break and started coming back. When came back, it was just as great as always. Staff so friendly and go beyond to make customers happy. My 2 favorite places is plainville, the original and near home, and best part plantsville is great and near my moms house. Plainville is original and in my heart always. But plantsville is bigger bar wise and also great

Walked in, was seated, and then was not even spoken to by a waiter or waitress for the 20 minutes we were there, no one even took a drink order from us. Multiple people working there looked at us and made eye contact with us. We got up and walked out and no one even said a word to us, the guy at the front was ignoring us and just playing on his phone and didn’t even notice we left. The bar was being attended to with zero issues.

EDIT 9/22/2025: This was rectified and we were given a gift card and came back and had a good experience, changed 1 Star to a 4

This is the OG Sliders that I grew up with as my parents live less than a mile away. I remember getting to-go orders as high-scholer waiting in the bar 25 years ago. My review may be a little jaded from the memories of what Sliders was and what it is now. First off, the wings have been and always will be will be at a minimum super high-quality to fantastic and most times great. This was originally more of an adult sports bar with darts and pool tables, and it’s more of a family restaurant now. While I miss the local bar feel, Sliders remaines as a great wings and food spot.

Not sure if there was a new chef...? Our garlic parmesan wings were not crispy as they usually are. We also ordered their chips with pulled pork and cheese and asked that they hold any peppers as I am allergic. This was a to- go order and we found it was loaded with peppers once we got home. So disappointing. We've never had a problem b4.

This was a great sports bar. The food was awesome. Though I think I now have a partially clogged artery. That is okay though.

Food and drinks were good. Went during happy hour. The list is limited but suffice. Server was nice and attentive. The music did get moderate louder.

5 stars from the 90's to early 2000s, moved away and come back once a year, definitely not as it was but still have good wings, loved the owner George but some old stuff should return like bringing back the open deli bar for Monday night football

8/1: Update re Owners response:FYI in all the years I have been giving you money I have given this feedback and heard the same BS promise...lol Horrible service,let's be clear the wings are great but they're only great when they get your order correct and over the last 6 years to 7 years half of our takeout orders are wrong and half the time either get an attitude when you call and let them know or they're so busy pointing fingers they really don't care about the fact that you just forked over almost $40 and your order is wrong.So after years and years of way too many issues that obviously are not getting resolved it's time for us to move on cuz as we know there are many other wing places that we can go to and we're going to have to expand and try them since it is way too difficult for sliders in plainville to to dress this issue that's been going on for years.
