The beer? Great variety, tasty, and many local brewers.
The food? Yes, please!! We live in New Haven, and will happily make the trek to explore more of both menus.

We stopped in here while on a little mini vacation and it couldn’t have been more perfect for what we needed. The food was awesome, but the atmosphere was even better. The tables are covered in paper and they give you a cup of crayons; even though we had a toddler, by looking around, you could tell that this was enjoyed by children and adults alike.
My husband said it was in his top five best steak tips, Caesar salads, and my meatloaf was incredibly good!
Our server was outstanding and even apologized for the wait since there was a large group that had placed their order right before us. (To be honest, I didn’t even notice, perhaps the crayons helped lol). There was a decent beer selection as well.
We ordered a dessert to go, and our server, even checked with the chef to determine the best way to prepare it for the trip back to where we were staying nearby. It was packaged so thoughtfully, not just shoved into a box either!
Should we find ourselves back in this area, we’ll definitely visit again! In the meantime, we’re happy to spread the word that this was an awesome casual dining experience.

Ordered the ale house picatta. First timer so everything on the menu looked great. My meal had great flavor and service was exceptional. A lot of food therefore I took it home. I get home and hungry for leftovers. Much to my surprise I bite into a piece of sharp plastic in the mashed potatoes. Apparently something broke in their preparation. I am fortunate that I did not swallow it.

First time customer, family night out with two teenagers. Awesome food, friendly waitress, comfortable atmosphere.big portions!!! Will definitely go back. 5 stars only complaint no Heinz ketchup. We our ketchup snobs. Great experience overall..

Drove by this place and after seeing the good reviews we decided to stop in. I'm scratching my head trying to figure out why it has 4+ stars.
We started out with the host not greeting us at all. He just stood there looking at us. Maybe the shy guy shouldn't be greeting patrons? Our waiter seemed good at first, but he took our drink order, and we saw our drinks sitting after the bartender made them for a good 10 minutes. He came back to our table and asked if we wanted to order. We said "after we get our drinks", which is when he realized he forgot.
Throughout the night our waiter was pretty absent. We did not feel taken care of.
The food was fine. We both had burgers, but there wasn't anything terribly exciting about either. The taste of "char" overpowered anything in my burger, although my SO liked hers.
Beer selection was fine, but I feel like an "Ale House" should really have better selections.
The bottom line is that based on the food, this is maybe a 3.5 star establishment, the service really sucked though and it's the real reason we will never return.

First and only time coming here and I loved it. After meeting with two friends at a table for dinner, I moved to the bar top and got some amazing drinks and beer. Can't wait to go again!
