Bear Hands is for sure my favorite brewery. The service is excellent, the food is excellent and most of all their beer is excellent! They have a way with sour ales that doesn’t compare to any other brewery! In addition to beers they also have a great selection of liquors (whiskey, scotch, vodka), and rotating martini flights!

Quiet today as the lower level was closed for a private party. We tried a flight with a couple of sours, a coconut stout and an IPA. The only one we didn’t like was the stout. Staff is friendly. Worth a try if you’re in the area.

Stopped by for a quick drink. The beers were awesome! I had the drunken leprechaun and loved it! Had ordered food that took long but the bartender was wicked nice and let us know their downstairs was packed because trivia, so we got it to go and they were so good!

Absolutely love coming for trivia. I enjoy trying different beers. The strawberry shortcake last summer was the best.However the food truly is not good and needs a revamp. The pretzel and beer cheese is good, but I don’t want it every single week. The mac n cheese has no flavor. The nachos are very lackluster. The pizza is ok, not great nor bad, but again, every week it’s not what I want. I know I have heard this same critique from many people who play trivia weekly. I understand keeping costs low and not having an overwhelming number of options but how about something as simple as fries? Cheesy tots? Garlic bread and marinara? Sliders? Hand held foods that are fun to eat and play trivia. I think patrons would be thrilled if this could happen.

My favorite brewery of all time. They have something for everyone whether it’s beer OR food selection, constantly rotating stuff onto their menu to stay exciting. The atmosphere can’t be compared to in the best of ways, warm welcome and the coziest place to sip and chat with friends. They have several events that are all inclusive and always decorate perfectly for every holiday/season. I love grabbing a beer and sitting outside in the warmer months, and in the winter months I love taking the couch in their downstairs speakeasy bar. The staff couldn’t be more personable, and you can tell the owners take pride in the space they’ve created. I can’t wait to show more people this amazing spot!!

love this brewery - and have been visiting for years. Unfortunately, lately the service hasn’t been great, staff doesn’t seem very happy and service isn’t the best if your not sitting at the bar, but everyone has off months.main reason I’m leaving review is the food situation has just been awful lately. I’m not one to leave reviews but this has been an ongoing thing lately so wanted to warn about it.Very unreliable food, kitchens closes hours early frequently, so you can’t plan around food being available, and recently brought family/friends for their first time, was difficult to get a bartender over to our table for drinks and took 1 hour 30 min for 6 chicken tenders to come out and they were soggy, undercooked, and the order wasn’t even correct and it wasn’t busy upstairs or downstairs and no one outside. So unfortunately we just had to leave and go somewhere else bc we were starving by that point.Sucks bc this brewery is awesome usually, and a great one stop shop for beers food and great environment but lately it’s just been off so I personally won’t be bringing anyone new there until it gets better again bc my recent experiences bringing friends have been embarrassing after hyping it up.

Out of all the breweries I've tried, Bear Hands has been my favorite. The atmosphere is laid back, with no tvs, minimal "table side" entertainment, and great drinks. They have a food menu that is not prepared by them but still serve the tables via mobile ordering.My only "complaint," which it really is more of an observation, is that they have one bathroom. This did not end up being an issue in any way.I ended up getting a flight of beers on tap as well as a flight of mixed drinks. All of them were so much better than I was ready for.10/10 I can't wait to come back!
Had our engagement photos planned for this weekend. Our photographer called them last minute to see if they would accommodate us to use their place and they said yes! Not only did they let us use their bar area, the drinks were phenomenal, the bar tenser Crystal was super sweet and even gave us some tips and areas to use within the space! The place was decked out for Halloween which was so cool. The music was great and from what I hear, you must try the pretzel with the mustard sauce. 100% recommend.

Okay if you are out bar hopping in Putnam you have to stop bye this place. Amazing, did I say amazing yes, yes I did. Beers brewed on site. Some of the most flavorful brews that I have had, and not to sound like an alcoholic but I have had a few. Staff was awesome, no wait amazing. Comfortable seating music at right level so you can carry on a conversation. Amazing place for a 1st date 2nd date or every date. Enjoy!

Have been a regular at Bear Hands pretty much since they opened, and I mean weekly regular. The staff is wonderful and drinks and food are just as great! My girlfriend and I have never had a problem here, ever.The drink selection is always amazing. Sours, Stouts, IPA's, lagers, pilsners and more! With the variety there's guaranteed to be something on the menu for everyone.The ordering process for food is simple and leaves options to add in requests and food allergies.This is by far the best brewery in the area and then some. Today they had a brunch, partnered with Suto, We were absolutely blown away with the drink specials, breakfast buffet, and the staff, as always. I can't stress enough how much Bear Hands is a MUST TRY experience.
