Excellent food and excellent staff. Been eating from this restaurant for many years. I recommend the spicy noodles.

The Thai Place is my favorite Thai restaurant in CT, and I've been to Thai restaurants all over CT and all over New England. They have a pretty standard menu and execute the classics very well. My favorite is their lemongrass chicken, not typically found on the menu at other Thai restaurants. It is excellent. The massaman curry is also excellent - great flavor, the sauce coats the ingredients well (at many restaurants it is too watery), and the veggies are even crinkle cut! Also love the crab rangoons. A bit of a warmer vibe than other Thai restaurants, and the staff is very friendly. I've never had a bad experience. We used to live close by but have since moved - and we make sure to stop whenever we travel through Putnam!

The new owners have ruined this place unfortunately. It was one of my favorite locations and I ate there once a week. Not the same friendly service or food quality. Aside from Billy the host/waiter. Disappointed.

A good solid local place to hit up for Thai. Had the squash chicken curry. Very tasty! Waitstaff friendly, good, clean atmosphere. Decorated nicely. Tuesday's 15% off. I went there many years ago and it was still just as great then as it is now. I drove 45 min to get lunch and was worth it.

Thai Place in Putnam, CT, deserves a solid four stars for offering the best pho in the area. It has become my go-to spot when the craving strikes, providing a convenient alternative to driving to the city. The Thai iced teas are a refreshing complement to the flavorful dishes, and the staff adds to the overall positive experience with their friendliness. A reliable choice for satisfying Thai cuisine cravings.

Cashew chicken was terrible; the meat smelled so awful as soon as I opened the container and the veggies were bland and soggy - the only edible parts were the cashews and pineapple. Crab rangoons were 95% fried dough with a teeny bit of (mostly not) crab filling. Wicked expensive when its all getting thrown away.

Sad that restaurants in this day and age cannot listen when you tell them that you have special diet and leave certain ingredients out. We will never go here again.

I wish I was kidding but I can honestly say that I stop here to get food before I visit my own family! I lived in Putnam for a few formative years of my life and a good majority of my family still live in the surrounding area, but when I come to visit, I finish my Pad Thai before I even let family members know that I’ve made it to Putnam safely.Without being hyperbolic, I can say that I’ve tried at least 40 different Thai restaurants across the East and West Coast and nobody has even come close to matching the perfect zip of sweet and sour that their Pad Thai provides. And do not be afraid to mix any peanut sauce you may have left over from your chicken satay, I promise you will not be disappointed! If I ever win the lottery, I’m opening a Thai Place franchise in North Carolina before I’m buying my mother a house!

Hands down, the best Thai Restaurant in the area. The other ones are nowhere near as good: Thai Place food is the highest quality, the most beautifully presented, and the biggest portions. Really, it's the best restaurant in the area. Staff are friendly and welcoming, the food is exquisitely good...what else could you ask for? I would rate 30 stars if I could.

Ordered to go. Crab Rangoon’s very oily bled through the paper bag they were put in. Cracked them open and see just cream cheese. Pad Thai noodles were ok but no flavor profile. Golden bags were good but not great. Food with no love never reaches great heights!
