We went to the Hare & the Hound for my grandmothers birthday dinner today and had a wonderful experience. From the start the staff was accommodating as we had a young baby with us. Courtney explained the menu and was kind and attentive. Our appetizers were great and the drinks were amazing. They had a new drink specials menu and they were awesome. I was surprised and how many meals could be made vegetarian as well. They also had a large specials menu. The entrees were great as were the homemade chips and fries. The in house baker is a plus as the deserts are great. Courtney and the trainee went above and beyond and even brought out a small desert with a candle for my grandmother which was very sweet. We will be back!

Looking for a less formal more bar-ish setting this is it!! food is amazing, staff is always helpful and kind. The Irish music adds a nice change too!!

I was dying to try this place ever since I moved to CT, and it was worth it! The food was absolutely amazing and the drinks were fantastic! I would recommend this place to anyone. It is pricey, but it's so worth it.

Nice atmosphere to sit outsideBloody Mary was not as good on my 2nd visit. Bacon in drink was not as good as the maple roasted bacon I had last time. It was a bit of a disappointment, especially for an expensive drink.

We sadly went on the day before St Patrick's Got there about 6 was told an hour to an hour and a half wait. I was with my 99 yr old neighbor so wasn't to keen on waiting that long. The girl said she could seat us outside..that was ok as it was still fairly nice and not cold yet.Well we waited so long to be waited on that it was getting a bit chilly ..we waited another 30 mins for our food at this point it was dark and definitely too cold to stay outside.I found our server and told her to box our orders to go...And yes I left her a decent tip anyway. Not sure if I want to try it another time...Wheelchair accessibility: Wouldn't recommend it if your in a wheelchair kind of tight quarters..even outside

Overpriced with sub par food !! I ordered the beef Wellington and it was $50!!! The filet was so tough I could not cut it or chew it. I could have bought a piece at the supermarket for $20 and it would have been more tender. The pastry puff was doughy and the side didn't even include a potatoes just a heaping of summer squash zucchini medley . For $50 I'd like some mashed potatoes it is an Irish restaurant after all. We also ordered a Flight of suds which was a tiny trio basket of potato chips , soggy fries and a few tater tots for $16! The only enjoyable thing I had was the Guinness with the green shamrock on top. Needless to say I won't be back. Happy St Patrick's day !

Great place. Went there for an early dinner..on the recommendation of a local. Food was great. Had the bacon wrapped jalapeños and Irish nachos. Had a great menu with lots of options along with a specials menu. The waitress was so nice and the service was awesome. Would definitely go back when I come back to Putnam.
