Had an amazing baby shower experience at the Redding Roadhouse. Food, service and vibe was even better than expected! Lauren and Kristina made the planning very easy and accommodated all of my requests . The cocktails and food were extra good!
I will plan our next event at the Roadhouse!
Thank you to all who helped !

All good, courteous and helpful staff, great food, relaxing atmosphere
Been coming here for years. Last night was there with a friend who is handicapped. Parking is tight with the snow so his truck stuck out in handicap parking. The manger wanted it moved and then questioned my friend if he was really handicapped. Will definitely not being going here again.

An absolute must! The owner and staff are phenomenal to work with for private events. They are efficient, kind, and quick to provide service. We had a limited budget for 55 guests and they promptly executed a delicious, beautiful, and plentiful buffet that fit within our budget. The atmosphere is quintessential Connecticut with history and flare. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I go there every time for a special occasion since I live in Redding too, and I’m just five minutes away from it Overall, it’s a great place but since we go there with our family and friends, it’s pretty expensive but overall super good food

I guess this is the only place in town for the Redding locals because the food and service are subpar for the prices they are charging.
We went in the hopes of sitting by the fire, after a cold snowy day, but were told that there was a “fireplace reservation”, within the hour, and we weren’t allowed to sit there. 5 minutes into being seated elsewhere, a different group decided to take the fireside table. Even after we mentioned something to the hostess, they didn’t make it right. Not worth the trip!

Just had a great meal at Redding Roadhouse. We ate at the bar and enjoyed great service. I’ve not been to RR in a bit, bc I was underwhelmed. This last experience has renewed my spirit….everything was fresh, the portions generous and I think a Bloody Mary bar is a good idea… just needed some horseradish out there. Great sticky toffee pudding and nice fresh coffee with our dessert.

Limited menu and they can't cook a burger to order. For $20 for a burger I don't want to order medium rare and get it well done. I also don't have time to send it back to cook another and then eat after everyone else. So to not be Karen I just ate it but did mention it to the server. Who got a good tip on lousy food.
Food and service is great and they are accommodating , had a large group and it wasn't a problem .

We are beyond thrilled that we chose The Redding Roadhouse for our wedding! We wanted a non-traditional celebration, and the team here brought that vision to life seamlessly. With 135 guests, we opted out of a sit-down dinner and instead had heavy cocktail hour stations all evening. The flow of the space made it so versatile - guests could sit at a table and enjoy a meal and conversation, hop on the dance floor and grab a corn dog on the way through the bar, or relax at a picnic table with lawn games. Even without assigned seating, there was plenty of room for everyone to enjoy the evening exactly as they wanted.
The venue itself is stunning, and the upstairs bridal suite was perfect for our large wedding party. About 15 of us comfortably got ready there the morning of the wedding, and it set the tone for a relaxed, fun start to the day. Our ceremony on the large lawn was beautiful, with such a picturesque backdrop for our vows. For the reception, we tented the outdoor patio as our dance floor, which kept the energy flowing all night, while the fire pit gave guests a cozy spot to enjoy the music without being in the middle of it.
Dietary needs were handled with so much care. We worked with both the chef and the event coordinator, Kristina, to create delicious vegan options and thoughtful accommodations for guests with more severe allergies. The bartenders were fantastic, keeping the line moving quickly all night and every cocktail was spot on. Our guests were so impressed, and we felt completely confident that everyone was taken care of. No one left hungry!
On the night of the wedding, the event staff was incredible. The space stayed spotless, stations were always full, and the service never skipped a beat. Kristina went above and beyond during planning too, helping us design a unique floor plan, rearranging the restaurant to fit our stations and décor, and even transforming the general store into a candy bar and bakery counter.
We can’t recommend The Roadhouse enough for any private event. Beautiful, flexible, and supported by an amazing team, it was the perfect place to celebrate our wedding and create memories we’ll cherish forever.

Rustic building. Old Roadhouse bus near the parking lot. Friendly staff. Charming bar area. Outdoor seating: High four top tables. Metal seats are back killers. Music some nights. Service is very casual. No pressure. Good variety of beer although not very cold. Menu offers options, but not extensive. Giant pretzel is great. Tasty burgers but not very large. Fries are coated fries, a bit disappointing. Good salads.
Excellent food, very friendly staff, and great options for beer and wine.
I'm a repeat customer for a weekend lunch. The food is good ,
