We love Gallo, we are greeted by the staff with smiles, kisses and hugs. Our favorite spot in Ridgefield Ct
Gallo is an elegant Italian restaurant with a classic atmosphere and a refined yet welcoming feel. The Italian dishes taste truly authentic, especially the seafood-based plates, which are excellent and thoughtfully prepared.
The presentation is simple, allowing the quality of the ingredients and the depth of flavor to truly stand out. Every dish is full of great seasoning and balance.
Gallo is an ideal place to enjoy a meal with family, offering a warm and comfortable environment, a great selection of wines, and excellent service that completes the experience.

Always a pleasure to dine at Gallo. Rafael, the owner is a cordial host and a warm and caring person. We are always treated like royalty when we visit. Sarah our server is among the best if not the best in the business. Her warmth, attention to detail and agility is amazing. Sarah bakes for Gallo too and everything is delicious. Gallo is a MUST visit.
We only had salad and pizza and they were both fine. What wasn't fine was the seating. We were right in front of the kitchen door and the person I was with had her coat steped on several times and finally decided to put it in the unattended closet. Then the wait staff proceeded to run into her chair with no excuse me. We backed my seat and the table up to the people behind me but the bumping continued. Probably won't go back.
I have eaten here a number of times. The food, service and ambiance have been fine; the location is especially convenient to the Playhouse. Last night the food was awful. I ordered the ravioli special with Gorgonzola cheese and nuts. It was pretty much inedible. I should have sent it back immediately but was uncomfortable. Instead, when the server asked if I wanted to take it home, I told him it was not good. He offered some cookies to take home. I'm sorry to say that they were not very good either.
Food was good, though not gourmet. Pasta was delicious. Service was especially poor. Management apologized and didn't charge for the capaccinos.
Used to enjoy this place but has definitely declined over the years. Food was overpriced and not at all impressive. I had shrimp and lobster pasta which was mealy and lacking flavor. Reviews from other diners in my party agreed with average at best. Was also hard to have conversation because it was so loud. Waitstaff acted like they were doing us a favor with service.

The food was fresh and tasty - there are countless options! The staff could noy have been more cordial. A wonderful experience!
We ordered the Burrata appetizer which was bland. My date ordered the spaghetti in a cheese wheel which was bland and I ordered the lasagna which had a weird vodka-type marinara sauce and the consistency of the dish was literally like soup. Within a short time, I had intestinal distress that evening. We ordered sorbets for dessert which never came. Got the check and left. Very disappointing, will not return.

The food was very good and we were in a hurry to get to the theater and the staff was extremely accommodating. We will definitely be back when we can spend more time and savor the experience.
The food is excellent and always consistent as is the service. It's our local "Go To" restaurant for nice dinners.
A very nice restaurant with various seating options and great lighting. The menu was varied and provided choices for a vegetarian as well. Service was generally attentive. Our appetizer of melanzana was delicious with a nice spiced tomato sauce. The entree made table side in a cheese wheel was also well seasoned with perfect al dente pasta. The shrimp on the salad was grilled nicely and the greens were dressed just enough to make it a great dish. Dessert was a selection of cookies. Overall, we would go back to this restaurant the next time we are in Ridgefield. It's very close to the Playhouse and convenient.
