I was expecting more so disappointed I was. The chicken sandwich was very, very hot- the sauce that it was floating in was hot- Sorry. thinking it's over rated- and very expensive for the quality- sorry for that-Nice atmosphere-

Have only done takeout - three times, happily. Fantastic options. Brisket is as good as it gets as compared to other tops in my book - all in Texas: Giddings Meat Market [Giddings]; Pecan Lodge [Dallas - Deep Ellum]; and Lum’s [Junction]. And don’t forget the Banana Bourbon Cream Pie. Love Hoodoo Brown!
We randomly stopped in for lunch on our road trip from Upstate NY. The moment you walk in, the smell tells you it’s going to be good. It was busy, but we were seated and served quickly. The food was absolutely amazing and we’re hooked. The brisket and brussel sprouts were to die for. We will be back next time we’re in town!
We have been a loyal customer but no longer. We ordered food 2 weeks in advance ( and paid ) for a special occasion. When we went to pick it up they simply said they had run out. Went back on Monday to complain and manager simply said “ thanks for letting me know”. Terrible
I just saw your reply. It was actually Tuesday I came in and talked to the manager who was sitting at the bar in a black sweatshirt and cared little. I was so unimpressed by his lack of care.

Parking lot was small but found parking right away. Service was good. Food could’ve had more flavor. But all in all good experience.

Some of the best ribs and brisket I ever had!
Cool place, very casual.
We got there just after 8:30, kitchen closes at 9 but they still welcomed us like dinner shift had just started.
And after dinner our waitress still offered dessert even though it was past 9 which we really appreciated because it was my birthday.
Definitely get the pork ribs and brisket, skip the Mac & cheese and corn bread - the fries are better.
Save room for the chocolate chip bread pudding with a scoop of ice cream it’s 10/10

Food is a 5…. But service I don’t know, they told us there was a 45 min wait, we agreed to do it cause we really like the food, after we waited more than the 45 min, we finally sat and we were told they run out of most of the things.
If you know you’re running low of one thing, or more, why not give a heads up to your customers? They can decide if they take the risk or not.

Absolutely delicious food but last time we tried to go, they told us there was a 45 minute wait. No problem we love the food so we waited. When we sat down, we learned they were out of almost everything on the menu except turkey and sausage. We left.
This is the first place that I have been to that actually could stand up in a BBQ competition. I lived in Texas for many years eating at the huts on the side of the road where u get a REAL plate of food. Some of the food is a bit spicy but that's only me complaining because I can't handle spicy dfood. At the end of the day, best BBQ I've had in over 20yrs
Parking: You have to get creative with parking but if you are hungry enough, you will be fine.....

Subpar food- potato salad was worse than store bought. Cornbread was poor, as was the turkey. Wings were good and ribs were decent.
Service was okay starting out then poor. Leaving me at the table to wait 20 minutes for my check is unacceptable.
Advice? Find a different place. If you feel like driving Smokehouse in Rhinebeck NY is much better.

Brisket was superb. The interstellar potatoes were flavorless.
