Solid spot, enjoyed our dinner date.
Positives: excellent service and ambience, the staff were awesome, Sarah was a great waitress. The decor and outdoor space was really well done and reminded me of being in Paris. Enjoyed the escargot and cote du Rhône wine was delicious
Negatives: some of the food could have been better. The bread was a little stale, I would expect a fresh warm baguette. Tomato salad special was not fresh, duck confit was well crisped but dry.
This place has a lot of potential, and I really wanted to give five stars. It’s getting lots of points for the ambience and service, but some of the food could have been better. My wife loved the salmon.
Will come back again to try lunch.

Water was cold. Not authentic. Everything else was like a nice Parisian restaurant including great service and creative tasty dishes.

Exceptional experience. Felt like I was transported to a classic French restaurant hidden down a side street in Paris. We were served fresh homemade butter and bread to start off with, followed by some lovely foie gras and garlicky, buttery, delectable escargot. My main course was the Sole Meunière which was particularly delicious, light, and filling, followed by their crêpe du jour which was topped with strawberries. An excellent meal in an excellent atmosphere with excellent service. A hidden gem in the heart of Ridgefield!

Excellent service. Food was delicious- steak tender! Outside seating if you like- however- the inside was just as nice!! We went early for dinner- around 5ish- on a Monday- no problem getting a table. Very lovely restaurant in Ridgefield- will definitely be back.

Always good!
We have been going to Luc’s for many years. The quality both in food and in service is consistently excellent. This is one of the many reasons we keep going back. Love everything from the salad Niciose to duck and sausage cassoulet. Once you’ve visited, I’m sure you’ll too will be a repeat customer.

Unless you are willing to risk being offended and insulted by the unpredictable behavior of the owner, do not visit this restaurant. We arrived at 5:30 PM on Bastille Day - an admittedly busy day for French restaurants, though the restaurant was only about 3/4 full - to celebrate my father’s birthday. We arrived on the early side because they don’t take reservations for parties of 3. After asking the hostess for a table for 3, we were shown to what was clearly a table for 2 people - this was being used as a 2-person table across all other parts of the restaurant. We kindly asked if we could be given one of the 4 person tables that were empty (there were at least 2 available indoors, plus additional seating outdoors). The hostess said she would need to check with someone and walked away. A few minutes later, an older French man (who we later learned was the owner) came up to us and said “This is our only table for 3. You can take it or you can leave.” as he pointed at the door. This man, who we had never met, treated us despicably, with utter rudeness, arrogance, and contempt. At this point, my father - who is also French - began speaking with the owner in French and expressed his disappointment with the owner’s attitude. The owner continued to act appallingly, saying he didn’t care how we felt he had acted and that we should just leave now, waving us away with his hand as if swatting a fly. My father continued to express his offense as we left the restaurant. While walking out, the owner, following us, bizarrely said “Here, there’s a table outside.” My father asked the man in French if he really thought we would remain after this interaction. Regardless of whatever else may have happened at the restaurant that day, there is no excuse for any person to treat another in this manner. I would encourage anyone considering visiting this restaurant to find another, or risk having an evening ruined by one of the rudest, most condescending people you will ever meet.
Luc’s has been our favorite restaurant in town since it opened. Friday evening was lovely dining outdoors. My daughter ordered a ham sandwich. There were long pieces of plastic she pulled out of it, which she could have choked on. When we brought it to the waiters attention he seemed unconcerned. He said they wrapped the ham in plastic. He didn’t offer her another entree and he didn’t take it off the bill. The other half of the sandwich also had the long pieces of plastic on it. How does someone miss this while preparing a sandwich? She didn’t eat half the meal on the plate. I expect better service at Luc’s and everywhere else I dine. DO BETTER!
Hey Herve! Luc's Cafe is the best French Bistro experience you can get outside of Paris. Sit inside, sit outside, or sit in the bar area, the atmosphere will feel like you've escaped to France. The food, the wine, and the service is absolutely top notch. Come visit! (Love, Luc's Cafe's first bartender🥰)
