We had a wonderful cinco de mayo brunch today. The menu is expansive and goes much further than a simple burrito and quesadilla. The drink menu was equally so and dessert?! Each sounded better than the next. Great local place for delicious food and nice ambiance. It was a little tight with many tables, I assume they get pretty large crowds for dinner. A must try!

I like the ambiance and being able to make an OpenTable reservation. But if they're going to advertise a special for playhouse goers then they should honor it. I mentioned it to server then forgot to look for 10% discount on bill. Then she was busy and didn't come back so I gave up. Also I thought $6 for chips and salsa was too high. And my crispy chicken taco was like chicken tenders in a taco. Not great. But my friend liked the taco salad. I do like the decorations at Christmas.
Had reservation for 6:15 prior to show at Playhouse. Food took forever to come out andcwe just ordered small plates. We were served last plates at 7:30 which we ordered 45 min before. Had to rush down our food. Food was delishious but couldnt relax and enjoy as planned.

Tequila was excellent. Prices are high. Two people. Shared an app. One drink and one main course each. One coffee. $170 with tip. Food took forever and was mediocre. One dish was cold and the other steaming hot. Server was absolutely lovely but wasn't particularly effective. They had her covering too many tables. I'd like to have enjoyed it more and I never wrote bad reviews. I'd even consider going back in the hope that it was just a bad night and order tacos and guac instead of the interesting looking entrees. The list of tequilas and the mixology on our two drinks was superb and the people working on the floor were all very nice. But on this night they didn't get it right and didn't seem to know it.

Last night I ate at Tequila Escape Ridgefield. Eduardo was one of the worst servers I’ve ever had. A customer should not have to wait 25 minutes for a glass of water. I also asked for a pitcher of passionfruit margarits then instead brings my guests and I individual glasses which 3 margaritas were $45. When he came to check on us I told him I didn’t order individual drinks and still waiting on the pitcher. Eduardo finally got the pitcher which came out 15 min later it was a regular house margarita when it should have been passionfruit. Eduardo tried to argue with me that it’s passionfruit, he’s like “I’ll go have the bartender add more passionfruit to this pitcher”. I tried showing him the comparison of regular margarita and passionfruit. Yet he was so convinced it was passionfruit and had an attitude about correcting his mistake. When we got the bill I asked politely for him to remove the $45 as I asked for a pitcher in the beginning and he said no, manager comes out refused to take them off yet gave us a mini discount off the drinks. Although Tequila Escape has great food and drinks I will never go back there to give my business and encourage others not to dine here.

my experience tonight was not it. I am not sure how busy our server was but the service could not have been slower. After we finished our appetizers we waited over 30 minutes for our server to appear to take our entree orders. We were pressed for time because we had a show to get to but we also gave ourselves 90 minutes and thought we would have enough time to dine. We finally put our order in and it took over 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. After 30+ minutes we had to ask for our entrees to go because we no longer had time to eat. The 6 top next to us sat 20 minutes after us and were able to get their entrees and finish them before we could even order. I regret trying this place out & I won't be back.

I was very excited to try this restaurant after seeing good reviews for it. Felt disappointed leaving. My food came out lukewarm at best (crispy chicken tacos), my jalapeno cucumber margarita tasted very good - was presented differently each time it came out, which was not a "bad" thing just interesting since most places train their bartenders for consistency (I know b/c I used to be a bartender). I ordered 3 of these drinks and they were full to the brim w/ ice, I think I took 3 or 4 sips for each one and they were finished - and they took a very long time coming out.We were asked if we wanted chips and salsa when we sat down, as if they were included (like how bread is at an Italian restaurant - I've been to other Mexican places where they serve this as a courtesy), no mention that there would be a cost so I was a bit surprised to find two additional costs on our bill - one for chips and the other for salsa. (We didn't argue it - we just paid the bill.)The host was very nice but our waiter could've cared less about our 2-person table. He was unattentive. He never checked on us after we received our food. I had to flag him a couple times when we needed a refill, or our bill, etc (after we patiently waited awhile) - one time he looked at me and just kept drying the glasses behind the counter.I'll give it one more try whenever I get back to the area but really wasn't impressed overall. Left there feeling like the place was overhyped and not worth the price.

Fast, friendly, knowledgeable, helpful service from all the staff. Food was outstanding as usual, as were the drinks. The manager always makes a point to say hello and ask how is everything, that's why we keep coming back and bring more friends and family to share our excellent experiences.
Empanadas were very tiny, ambiance was very boring, service wasn't great for it to be not busy. Found it on TikTok and drove from New Haven wouldn't recommend taking the drive but cool if you're in the area for a snack I guess :/
