First time visiting here and was very impressed. Fast and friendly service dining in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Best dosa I've had in CT. Truly authentic South Indian pure veg. Very fair pricing and large portions. Mango Lassi was very fresh. Restaurant was very clean, I enjoyed the stainless steel cups and plates. Everything came out quickly after ordering, hot and fresh. Look forward to trying again soon.

Vegetarian options: Excellent value large portions very fresh. It's pure veg I feel when going for veg option a restaurant that is pure is always your best choice.

Kid-friendliness: Family friendly establishment.

We ordered Uthappam and it was very good. But the quality of sambhar definitely needs improvement. Also takeout service could be a whole lot better. I saw people who literally came in to dine in at the restaurant after me and they got their food before me. Note that I have ordered a takeout at least 15-20 minutes prior and had to wait for a total of 45 minutes.

Food was certainly below average. Saturday evening I understand that it is over crowded. So service is slow

Had a good experience at Dosa Hut! The food was delicious—especially the Ghee Roast Masala Dosa and the Gobi Manchurian, which was fantastic. The Uttapam was okay, and the Lassi was refreshing. Service was good, though the place felt a little congested. Overall, a nice spot for South Indian food!

Authentic Indian food owned by Indian man who's very pleasant. Restaurant appears clean & take out is timely. Located in sm plaza next to DiNovellis Restaurant (best Italian in tri-town area) and a pub at further end. Dosa seems popular.

Worst place to eat and dosa was stale. Very bad arrogant behavior of the owner. When asked the staff no response from their end. Beware of this place.

I ordered bonda and they were horrible and I came from south India and I know how bonda tastes. I asked my waiter to replace and what he said was that it’s their recipe and when I said they are hard he said the bonda they serve is like that only. I was amazed by the rude behaviour and when I requested to talk with owner. No one even responded properly. I sent the bonda back and I didn’t eat anything because of their bad service. Thank you I travelled 2hrs to eat good Indian breakfast and you made my day miserable. Last time when we went they served my boyfriend expired soda and then they replaced because it’s a huge mistake and now they acted rude to get the money. Never going back to that place again.

We got Ravai dosa and the lunch platter tiffin, where both the dosa's were very hard. Also the sambar was blunt.
The 2 star was given because the only thing which was good was the Vada.

This is hands-down my favorite restaurant in the Hartford area and some of the best South Indian food I've ever had. We don't eat out a lot but we do come here frequently and have noticed it's always busy, probably because of the quality you get for the price. (Weekday lunch specials are especially great if you can take the time!) We've also brought many family and friends who have not even noticed that the menu is all vegetarian because the food is so good.

I'm vegan and there are a plethora of options, just make sure you specify non-dairy when ordering just because sometimes there has been some confusion.

Go-to orders for my non-vegan husband and myself:
- vegan appetizer: gobi manchurian
- vegan entrees: chole bhatura, chennai paratha, chana masala, aloo gobi, any of the dosas
- vegetarian entrees: veggie korma
- vegetarian dessert: gulab jamun

Dietary restrictions: Vegetarian and vegan options (make sure to already dairy-free even if you say vegan)
