Good idli but sambar and chutney leaves a lot to desire. The potata masala in the dosa was very bland. Almost Tastes like plain boiled potato with very very little masala. No onion or curry leaves. Missing good flavorPaneer Chili felt full of tomato ketchupGood lassiMadras coffee tasted like some instant nescafe etc

RESTAURANT changes extra 10% tip without your consent if you haven’t mentioned it in the check. Tip is voluntary in US unless it is specified in form of gratuity. The owner was very rude when I raised this issue with him. He said, you pay tip next time you’re here otherwise you’ll be charged anyway. The food here is average, given the ambiance and service a tip is voluntarily given by patrons and not taken FORCEFULLY.

This place stands out for authentic and incredibly flavorful food that hits the spot for traditional Indian dishes. The dosas are crispy, light, and absolutely delicious, paired with chutneys that pack a punch of flavor. The people were friendly and attentive and were especially wonderful. If you're in Rocky Hill and craving genuine Indian cuisine, Dosa Hut is the go-to spot. Definitely recommended!

I have gotten take out from Dosa Hut on many occasions. Their palak paneer is delicious. Best one I've found in the area.

My experience here was not great. I got mulligatawny soup and a side of spring rolls. The rolls were plenty good, served with a dipping cup of ketchup which I only found a little odd. The soup was not worth it. I did enjoy the broth, could really taste the spices and ghee. But the vegetables were terrible, frozen from a bag. Then, the drink I had also ordered never arrived. My date and I weren't even there during a high traffic time of day. I just decided the whole thing wasn't worth the hassle, paid, then left. Other things on the menu might be great, other days might have better service, but the lack of attention I saw today doesn't give me the urge to take a chance and come back when I'm in the area.
