Take out order on 9/13/25 , food was mediocre hate to say. Ordered a large Oxtail meal…& I guess the large means large portions of bland rice that compacted the plate. Not forgetting to mention the poor amount of oxtails that was given. Poor pricing, portions & no cabbage…a let down, hopefully the owner can bounce back & prove the recent reviews wrong.

I have a bad habit of telling the truth. The food portions were laughably small and food was massively overpriced. The food was some of the most bland and nastiest Jamaican food I have ever had. If you’re looking for good Jamaican food this is not the place just keep looking. Waste of time and money.

Live in Middletown got hyped when I found this spot online and drove 17 minutes. Husband and I ordered a Lg Oxtail meal 2 small Jerk chicken meals, 3 beef pattys and sweet plantains 9) Now the total was 73$ with two drinks and WE WILL NEVER EAT here again! The beef patty’s were bland the oxtail was full of fat, bland, the jerk chicken wasn’t cooked properly, and we are very disappointed. Go to Hartford for your Jamaican food cravings because this place was not it. I feel so nauseous after eating this from their Jerk sauce 🤮🤢

Fantastic food. Jerk chicken with rice and peas was delicious. Also, the pineapple ginger drink. And the beef pattie. Just saw a sign on the highway and decided to stop. So glad we did!

5 STARS!!!! The Food was Amazing! The staff was so nice and welcoming. We were just passing by and I'm so happy we decided to stop for food. Ended up buying enough to take home to NY for dinner. Definitely a Family friendly restaurant. Can't wait to visit CT again to have a reason to come back!

I was surprised during lunch hour how the line was almost out the door and how their team handled each and every customer. We were out of there quickly. I stayed in and ate it was like being at home the food was right the spices, The sear on the jerk chicken was amazing the oxtail rice and peas hit the spot the meat fell off the bone in the gravy was like being home the woman and a man who served us all was very friendly kind smiling a good atmosphere no loud music at all that's what I like nice and quiet This is a great spot to sit down and grab a quick meal. Good job to the staff good job I like this place a lot.

Really good authentic food, friendly staff, and overall great atmosphere, very clean, and recommend it very much. Veggie options, warm good quality food and did not feel like fast food but an actual home cooked meal.
Food is expectional! Staff is friendly. I just had a spicy beef patty with some coco bread and it was delicious! Definitely will swing back and try some different dishes.

Relatively small dining area compared to a traditional restaurant. Not the biggest deal. The food is very good. Ordered the pepper steak, jerk chicken and oxtail for my wife. She really liked the oxtail.
The rice that comes with the platter is also very tasty. Prices are also reasonable.

I ordered Jamaican kitchen for delivery via DoorDash. I’m a huge Jamaican food lover , and this place exceeded my expectations. I got the stew chicken with rice and peas & cabbage , the chicken was so tender and seasoned perfectly. The rice and peas and cabbage was also delicious and paired very well together. I also got cocoa bread which was so soft and just the right amount of sweet and it was warm - SO good! And I got the 1/2 lb of oxtail which was also tender and amazing. I will definitely be ordering from them again and again and again !
