We went to NYPD for lunch today and I cannot say enough nice things about our waitress Jeanie!! She ensured our food go to our table quickly, and every time I needed a refill she was already on top of it! She was very friendly and we will definitely be going back because of her.

What happened to this place? And what happened to Tracy she was the best! The last few times we’ve been here it’s been awful, and this was our favorite spot but I think we’ll stop coming here.
It’s like every time we come here service gets worse and worse. The last time we sat for breakfast, we didn’t even get asked our order after 1 hour of being seated. Servers just took laps in our area and did nothing, and everyone around us was clearly agitated. We ended up walking out! Theres been other times where we received similar service.
Plus, even if you order takeout, they clearly make your food when you walk in the door.
We love the food here but bad service has been happening way too frequently and for that reason we don’t be returning.

WHERE IS THE MANAGER OF THIS PLACE?
Visited Sunday 9/8 and there's a sign hanging to be patient with new staff. However, we didn't see one manager on duty. Where is this establishments manager on a Sunday morning? Took over an hour to get food and when it was served everything was cold and hard. This wasn't the waitresses fault or the cooks. You can tell the food was done a long time ago and was sitting. The same person taking our order was also seating people coming in. The "red flag" would have been the sign hanging in the front but no manager offering to help the staff. In order to have a good staff you need to support them! We come from out of state and will never be back to see if things change but these poor girls... Two stars because the place was extremely clean and had a cozy atmosphere.

Took my father , stepmother and wife with me to a new place we haven't tried yet. I couldn't of been more pleased with the service, the moment we walked in we were greated with smiles and warm affection. We were sat quickly even though it was very busy and was told there was a 25 minute wait. Waitress was attentive and helpful navigating the menu. I had the stuffed French toast with lemon and blueberry, which i recommend!!! My dad had an western omelet with a side of home fries that he loved. My stepmom who is a tough critic was absolutely in love with her cinnamon swirl pancakes, and my wife's spinach and bacon omelet was absolutely perfect for her. The coffee flows great at this place, you can't get through a cup without one of the staff looking to refill your cup with Fresh brew. All in all one of the best places in Connecticut we've been too for breakfast!!! We will be back for sure!!!

The New York pickle deli is a great breakfast/lunch spot. Very nice waitresses along with good food. Their bacon egg and cheese is amazing (my new favorite). Definitely a place to check out!

I don’t recommend dining here. I heard, what seemed to be the manager, raising her voice with the employees for things out of there control. The server isn’t a good server she only comes over to take the food order and sends the other girls for all the other work. It was confusing because I was unsure what girl I should ask for things from or when the server was coming back. The girls working here seem stressed and upset which i don’t blame them.

Such a disappointment! If your okay waiting over 30 minutes for under Cooked potato's, cold eggs , a breakfast sandwich where they forgot the bread. ( really did, then took them 5 minutes to get the bread). Presentation was lacking, of and the coffee was not great! Last time stopping in for us.

I just went here for the first time and the food was DELICIOUS, but, unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Obviously on a Sunday morning I expect a decent wait for breakfast food, but NYPD must have been really backed up on to-go orders because from the time we ordered it took an hour and 15 minutes to get our food. This alone wouldn't be enough for me to post a negative review because I understand things happen and wait times can only be controlled so much. What made this disappointing is that staff were almost completely absent from the dining room. It felt like they were avoiding the dining room because they knew customers were frustrated and didn't want to hear the complaints (I totally get this lol) but people wouldn't complain if they knew what to expect going in. I think we would have easily said "oh that's fine we will have more time to chat" but given how hungry we were and not knowing when we would be served... yeah I guess "disappointing" is the best way to put it. Our experience would have been much better if staff communicated with us throughout our time there and managed our expectations right way.
