We hosted our daughter's confirmation party/dinner here and let me just say, the quality of service began 2 weeks ago when I called to check for availability. Chris was an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was more than accommodative to all our requests and made it feel casual that it took the worry out of organizing an event. We were a party of 25. Chris called the day of, to confirm our reservation. We got delayed an hour after the ceremony so I called them and they told us to take our time and that everything was set for us. I even called them 15mins before the crowd got there to put some appetizers in which they took care of seamlessly. Christine was well informed of our party and handled it smoothly. Stan was amazing. He came up to us in the beginning and advised of the modified order. He split the appetizers evenly among the three tables and even downsized some of the orders for us. Nancy was our waitress and she was an absolute machine, never missing a beat, constantly smiling and incredibly successful looking after our entire party. We ordered the flatbreads, garlic cheese bread, pan fried risotto balls and a few Cesar salads for appetizers for each of the tables. The food was top notch, on par with the service. Everyone ordered their own meals and the drinks were excellent too. I ordered the New York strip, medium rare, and the accompanying bacon and onion chutney was a fantastic pairing. I had a salute75 which was one of the best gin martinis I've tried in a very long time, followed by an old fashioned and finished with an Irish coffee. Nancy was always open to requests taking photos and Christine even took a photo of the whole group at the end standing by the Salute wall. We were genuinely looked after like family. It's a modern look inside with a view of the kitchen, not particularly luxurious but simple and elegant with good lighting. Highly recommend this place and we'll definitely be going back. Great job Chris, Christine, Stan and Nancy and kudos to the Salute team working in the background to make this place the best meal and service package experience.

Good atmosphere. Excellent service. Mediocre Italian food .... Over sauced and bland.

Highly recommend Salute, the food is excellent and the service is stellar! And they even gave us a loaf of their famous bread to take home.

Wonderful place for a dinner with business partners. Expansive wine selection and the food was out of this world. We truly enjoyed the experience. Bravo!!

We were a little skeptical because when we called the lady seemed a little annoyed/rude but we got in a gentleman sat us right away. Nate was our server and was super attentive and awesome. The food didn't lack one bit of flavor and we were so impressed with the freshness of the food. The cocktails were a great compliment to the meal as well. I definitely recommend trying this place if you're around

We had such a fabulous experience at Salute last night. We had forgotten to make a reservation as we had tickets to the Bushnell. There were no spots left in Hartford so we decided it wasn't too far to go to Rocky Hill. We were seated immediately and had outstanding and attentive service from waitress Lori. There was never an empty glass or plate left on our table. She was efficient, friendly and willing to help with suggestions! My husband had Shrimp Fra Diablo and I had the Grilled Hanger Steak with a Gorgonzola cream béchamel and a side of potato lasagna. Absolutely delicious! I had to even ask if there was a recipe for potato lasagna and Chef Chris came out to meet us! It was so impressive and kind that he took time to do this! On Tuesdays, there is half price bottles of wine so an added bonus and then they adjusted our bill once hearing we had theater tickets as they offer a discount. What an honest and outstanding establishment! This may be an hour from our home but we will be regular customers for sure! Hats off to you Salute- you nailed it!

Amazing Happy Hour and 1/2 price on all wine bottles on Tuesdays!!! When you walk into the restaurant it's like you're walking into Más Italian kitchen. The sweet smell of garlic and herbs. Come early.... There was not a seat available at the bar !!! Super chill atmosphere and great staff! The food, mind you I don't eat pasta any longer is to chow it down!!! Great option to decompress and start your week correct!!!

Excellent place to go and the food was great. What we couldn't finish was delightfully boxed up with added gifts to take home.

"The sky's a-light with the guitar bite Heads will roll and rock tonight" For those about to rock, we salute you (AC/DC) We enjoyed a magnificent FIVE STAR lunch experience yesterday. We kind of knew Salute was going to be crowded when we circled their parking lot three times in search of a parking spot. We ended up parking in the plaza next door, walked through the rain, and were heartily greeted by the maître d' who walked us to what seemed like the only available table. Now remember, this was lunchtime on Wednesday, and Salute was pretty much at full capacity. We met Lori, our server, who was so professional and personable throughout our stay. She whisked over a complimentary breadbasket with "tomato butter", and I'll bet you a nickel those are two words you've never used together before. It tasted great. Speaking of "great", they have a great lunch menu of salads, sandwiches, and entrees mostly in the low to mid $teens. We went with a traditional Beef Bolognese over ziti ($14) and a Shrimp Diablo ($16). It was a beauty of a dish that also had hot Italian sausage and chorizo slices, Sicilian olives, and spinach in a red sauce over linguini. I asked for "extra spicy" and when Lori asked if it was spicy enough, I gave her a big smile because it was perfect. Another shout-out to Lori for her frequent check backs and water refills. Some restaurants offer small portions on their lunch menu, but not here. Both dishes were sizable and half of each came home with us. An unexpected surprise came when Lori wrapped up our leftovers and told us she put some biscotti in our bag to take home. Our two meals and an iced tea totaled $34.62 after tax and before tip. Considering the nice breadbasket, two big lunches, and freebie biscotti, that was tremendous value. Toss in the great tableside service and friendly maître d', well that easily explains why this was a FIVE STAR dining experience.
