Awesome Italian spot! Everything I tried was good! Sangria is a must.

I placed an order for Eggplant Parmigiana dinner and Penne alla Vodka with Chicken. First off, it cost $55 which is very expensive. The portions for that price were very small. The vodka sauce was a tad on the watery side and not a lot of flavor. The Chicken was grilled, maybe four little pieces that were about a quarter inch thick...very scarce. The Eggplant was a small portion as well and nothing to write home about. The gentleman at the bar who rang the bill up was VERY nice. I did not have my debit card, only tap which they did not have. He was willing let me go home and call the card in, but fortunately I was able to reach my husband who gabe me his cc over the phone. I'm a Sicilian from New York who's Papa had five Italian restaurants so I know great Italian food. I was really hoping to enjoy this place since they are close to home. I could even work with the prices if the portions and product was worth it.

What use to be one of my local favorite authentic Italian eateries, has now turned into a shameful disrespectful and some what racist embarrassing moments in my entire dining experience. I recently went to Amici’s for a early valentine’s Day dinner, and although I didn’t have a reservation, the host is asked the manager behind the bar if he could accommodate myself and my wife. While the manager did say yes to the hostess, he looked at me and yelled across the bar “Are you going to eat quickly”. I looked at him in disbelief and said excuse and in the same monotone voice he repeated “Are you going to eat quickly”, in front of the entire bar. I raised my eyebrow and said no. The hostess then said sorry, I walked to my car and advised my wife wouldn’t happen and being so livid I went back to the restaurant, pulled the manager to the side and said I used to come here all the time for my birthday and you always always treated me like go the way you spoke to me was embrace it and you just lost me as a customer. He reached out and apologized to me and stated that’s the way I talk. I stated to him well maybe he shouldn’t be talking to your repeat customers like that. He definitely lost me and my family has a customer. Shameful on Amici’s you were one of the greatest local Italian eateries. I will be going on TikTok to mention the embarrassing feeling in the humiliation I felt.

From the moment you step into Amici, you are instantly transported. It feels like you’ve left Shelton behind and entered a different world defined by class, elegance, and a true VIP atmosphere. The decor and vibe are sophisticated and refined—perfect for when you want a night that feels truly special. The execution from the bar and kitchen is flawless. The Pomegranate Martini was perfectly balanced and served, easily one of the best I’ve had. As for the meal, every course from the savory entrees to the desserts was absolutely on point. If you are looking for an elevated dining experience with incredible food and a high-end feel, Amici is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Came here on a weekday to celebrate and enjoyed our experience overall. The bread was hot and crispy on the outside, drinks well made, and food was fresh and delicious. Fried calamari was some of the best we had. The pork chops were good but the potatoes were excessively salted, seemed possibly accidental they were so salty. Everything else, delicious. Had molten lava cake for desert, what a treat! Looking forward to returning in the future. Staff was attentive, it was a quiet night but enjoyed our time. Also, holiday decorations were beautiful!

On Saturday, January 10th, I dined at Amici’s Restaurant with a large group. During our meal, I overheard the owner loudly and harshly yelling at a young female server who was simply taking and managing drink orders. This occurred in full view and earshot of diners and was very uncomfortable.
I went to the bar to raise the concern and was told he was both the manager and owner. His response was dismissive: “That’s just the way I talk.” That explanation is not acceptable. How an owner speaks to staff sets the tone for the entire restaurant.
It was also notable that the owner was personally handling reservations that evening, which raises fair questions about staffing and retention.
Based on this experience, I will not be returning. How staff are treated matters — and this experience made it clear where the priorities lie.
Really cool and comfortable vibe in there, picked up breakfast sandwiches for my wife and I, delicious and very reasonably priced. Will definitely go back to try their other foods.

We brought a group of 30 to Amici's for a work dinner, and it could not have gone better. From the moment we sat down, the service team was on point - I don’t think a single glass of water ever made it halfway empty. Every dish that came out was fantastic, and the prices were more than fair for the quality and portions.
The owner worked directly with us, and went above and beyond to make the night run smoothly - friendly, organized, and clearly takes pride in making guests feel welcome. It’s rare to find a spot that can handle a big group this seamlessly. We’ll definitely be back!

Upon arrival the outside is so charming. Atmosphere is perfect for a date night or nice family special occasion dinner. The bar and dining room are both great. Chicken Parmesan was probably the best I’ve had. The service is unmatched. Never had an empty drink or glass of water. Very attentive. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
